Nature is Imagination itself

Thank you God for Sun and Showers, Thank you for each lovely flower
Thank you for each stately tree, Through all of these you speak to me. unknown author

Count your garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall.
Count your days by the golden hours, don't remember clouds at all.

Count your life by smiles, not tears, and with joy on every birthday.
Count your age by friends, not years.

The teacher was telling the class about plants that have the word "dog" in front of them: dogrose, dogwood, dog violet. She asked the class if they could name another flower with the prefix "dog." Steven raised his hand and said,

"Sure, Miss Jones, a 'collie'flower

Q: "Why did the gardener plant bulbs?
A: "So the worms could see where they were going."

The above photo is the flower pod after the petals fall. It is from a Schefflera Tree in our backyard.
Q: What happened when the gardener accidentally sprayed his spice garden with herbicide instead of pesticide?
A: He ended up just killing thyme

The pictures of the flowers are gorgeous! Some of them almost look like animals. The first one looked like an insect and the pink one made me think of a fish. Love the jokes. How do you come up with all of this stuff? Great blog, AGAIN! I am finally first at something!
Love ya

Well, the first time I saw the new picture on your header(a day or so ago)it took my breath away! As much as I loved the other one, this is so stunning! You actually took that picture? It's in your yard?? Is it a bird of paradise flower? I'm not sure if I've got the name quite right. And what a wonderful post for today! The first purple flower-what is it? And the second pastel one-you didn't Photoshop it or anything? It's so georgously pastel pink and blue that it almost looks unnatural. These are stunning.

Oh, this is another wonderful series of photos! I love them all. But the flower from the first photo is amazing. I’ve never seen it before.
Since there are no any flowers at all and no leaves to fall, it remains me to count my golden hours and not remember clouds at all.LOL
Thanks for sharing this beautiful photos and quotes.
