Life is a gift from God.

Caring hands to guide the hands of a lady who can not see to the bearded dragon held by other caring hands.
Lives daring to live AND give!

Sunday morning on CNN Andrea Bocelli did an interview about raising money for Haiti. I love his music and did not realize he is blind. After the interview I went to YouTube to listen to some of his songs and I found this one and thought how true it is that we need to dare to live the life that God gave to us. And to use the gifts he gave to us.

Andrea Bocelli & Laura Pausini - Dare To Live (Vivere)

Here are the lyrics to the song to read and ponder.

Try looking at tomorrow, not yesterday,
and all the things you left behind
all those tender words you did not say
the gentle touch you couldn't find
In these days of nameless faces
there's no one truth, but only pieces
my life is all I have to give
Dare to live! Until the very last
Dare to live! Forget about the past
Dare to live! Giving something of yourself to others

Even when it seems there is  nothing more left to give
But if you saw on your doorstep
the man who sleeps in a cardboard box,
if you were to listen to the world
one morning without the noise of the rain,
you, who can create with your voice,
you think the thoughts of the people,
then, about God, there is only one God.
Nobody has ever taught us how to live,
to live is not possible without the past,
to live is beautiful even though you
never asked for it;there will be a song
and someone to sing it.

Dare to live!            Give the best Gift of all, Ourselves!

Love the theme of today's post! The way you linked the nursing home and the video. Outstanding!! I, too, love Bocelli. I have a C.D. with Bocelli and Sara Brightman in a duet, and have seen him on T.V. many times. But I've never seen him clean shaven before, like he is here. He looks better without the beard! As for Miss Laura's dress, perhaps it was best that he didn't see that! Last year, I heard that he had gotten a divorce, didn't get any details. Think I'll Google that and try to find out more.

Just got done Googling. Bocelli used to be a lawyer, and he did get divorced a few years ago. He has two sons. It's been all very hush hush and neither one will say why the divorce. After his wife did an interview, one theory was because of all his travelling. He's now back in the dating game. Just thought I'd fill you in considering how curious we both are!
