Flutterby Gardens

If you missed the Elephant Ear Post last October and you want to know more about the plant, click here Elephant Ear archive

Florida's unseasonably cold weather persists, and is forcing me to find spring photos in my archives. The fence belongs to a lady that has a butterfly farm, she actually sells butterflies and her garden is only a few blocks from my house.
Here is the link to Flutterby Gardens, so flutter on by and check out buying butterflies.
I remembered these  photos when I took these photos yesterday in my back yard. I saw movement in the only blooming plant in the yard (normally the yard would be full of blooms and butterflies by this time of year) and spotted this yellow moth.

I tracked it with my camera as it flitted from bloom to bloom and found it very difficult to get the lens to focus on it.

And find your shoulder to light on,To bring you luck, happiness and riches

Your lovely flower pictures are so delightful to look at on this dreary day. Three rainy days in a row...yuck!

NICE photos! And the blossoms look so exotic to my Canadian eyes. :)

We don't have any spring flowers to feature yet either this year, Sandra, except for the Crocuses on my header. It's going to be a late spring for us---but hopefully we will ALL have some soon.

I love those red fluffy things....
Hugs,
Betsy

We have a definite shortage of Spring flowers and butterflies. But today is sunny and warm, so perhaps there is hope.

Oh, my!! That last picture is absolutly STUNNING! You have the little moth, the flower, and the berry bud thingys all in one picture, and the way the light is coming through the wings and affecting the picture is wonderful!! I know how hard it is to get a focus with something little flitting about. I bet you'll get some lovely shots of butterflies this year! I do also love your colorful bird of paradise plant header!!

Meant to tell you that I love your quotes, as well. I clicked on the Flutterby Gardens link, and this came to mind. How could you ever buy a butterfly? As soon as you got it, it would fly away! It's like trying to capture happiness in a jar.

Beautiful pictures (I like that white fence!). Never heard of anyone selling butterflies! Don't think I really love the idea of getting a whole lot of them all at once... (Especially since I don't even have a garden!)

How blessed to live by a flutterby farm!! It'd be hard for me to leave that place - I'd want to just sit and watch them for hours!

Gorgeous flowers, you have far more than we do right now. Great capture on the moth, they can be hard to catch with the lens.

I never thought about buying butterflies, I suppose for weddings and events a release would be interesting.

All the photos are beautiful but the first two I love the most because of that white fence. It looks so charming among the flowers red and yellow. Lovely, indeed!
