Dragons and Lions, Oh My! Oh My!

There are European and Chinese Dragons and then there are Solomons Dragons.

Squirrel Queen, you asked what was behind the elephant on yesterdays Post. this is the dragon in the corner. (I forgot to say the elephant took 300 hours of work)

he is very tall and I had a hard time getting a full photo of him, see dragon claw below
and the long one I got only his face, there were 16 people on the guided tour and I had to shoot around them

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons......for thou art crunchy and go good with ketchup!
How can you get a set of teeth put in for free ? Smack a lion !
The lion (Panthera leo) is one of the four big cats in the genus Panthera, and a member of the family Felidae. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight,[4] it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger
This Lion weighs a LOT more than 250....

What is lion's favorite food ? Baked beings !

What does the lion say to his friends before they go out hunting for food ?
'Let us prey.

Oh another wonderful dragon!
And a lion, too!

I also get a little sad looking at these dragons because they remind me of a dragon-loving blogging friend who passed away a couple of months ago. I'm sure he would have absolutely loved these. At the same time they remind me of the "dragon-lore" he used to write and that puts a smile on my face.

Silly me! I couldn't figure out what the purple dragon's teeth are made of, and it is very clear on the header! Screws and bolts. I just love your jokes! They go almong so well with the sculptures. So far, I still like yesterday's better. I'm betting those elephants and that dragon won't be topped. I wait to see more.

The lion and the dragon are both fantastic. I'm not sure 'fantastic' is the right word for the jokes, but I did enjoy them.

I've enjoyed all the posts about Solomon and his amazing Castle : ) The Lion, the elephant, the dragon-all of it is so amazing! You did a great job getting the sculptures in the photo-especially the details.

I look forward to coming here and getting my daily chuckle! I can't image the time it must take to create one of those sculptures. Beautiful!

Those are amazing sculptures! And your photos of them are equally amazing. I love lurking around your blog for tips on my own photography which is "young" but progressing.

Best,
Bonnie

I had thought it might be a dragon lurking behind the elephant. Both the dragon and lion are quite impressive. I am so loving the tour of Solomon's castle.

I have always loved the line "Meddle not in the affairs of dragons......".

DawnTreader lured me over here with tlk of dragons (the blogging friend she mentioned was also one of mine). These are great and the commentary finishes them off a treat! Now for those elephants.
