Senior Moments!

I am off to visit our very own local Solomon's Castle for the day with friends. If they lift the draw bridge and let us out, I will of course be posting photos over the next few days.
Above is photo at the castle taken in 2004 on my first trip their with hubby.

The lizard photos I took while  cleaning the windows during my cleaning frenzy brought on by no computer to play on. This lizard is named Grandpa, because he is very big and very old. He lives on our front porch, far away from our Jake monster (dog) who loves lizards for lunch ( and i don't mean he dines WITH them)
Night before last hubby wanted Chicken Pasta, a dish I concocted that is one pot cooking. I put the water on to boil and because it will not boil if I watch it, I came in the bedroom to work on La Computer. I ran back and forth for about 30 minutes, TRYING to muliti-task. The last step is to drain the contents of the pot and add mayonaise. As I dumped the contents into the strainer, I said to hubby, how do you feel about chicken pasta MINUS the chicken. I had forgotten to add the chicken which is the FIRST step.
We ate it with parmesan cheese sprinkled on it and it was delicious. Plus it gave a lot of my friends a lot of laughter.

Just before the computer crashed, my on-line bank forced me to change my log-in ID. I changed it and wrote the new ID on a piece of paper all alone so if anyone saw it they would not know what it was ( I do this until I use it a few times). I came in this morning to pay my electric bill and JAKE had eaten the paper. He is a freak for paper, any paper, i can't put paper in a waste basket unless it is up out of his reach. it was a sheet of copy paper and was laying on the desk. We KNOW he did it! We Just Know!

I said to Bob, remember when I asked you to help me come up with a new log in ID for the bank? and we came up with something we could remember? do you remember it? becasue Jake ate the paper and I can remember PART of it but not all. I tryed what i thought it was and it said NOT. We came up with what we thought it was and he said try it, I said if it is not right, two strikes and I am locked and have to CALL (you know how I hate those CALLS)
We are living happily every after right now because it was RIGHT

SENIORS ROCK!

I'll have to admit that I enjoyed a chuckle over your chicken-less Chicken Pasta. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does things like this from time to time.
It sounds as if you really need to be careful around that paper-eating dog!

I have the feeling I used to be better at multi-tasking, now I hardly dare leave the kitchen while I have something cooking. You seem to have a very patient husband, and a dog on a strange diet (lizards and paper)... ;)

A nice surprise to see this post today, as I thought you may not post because of being away for the day. And not just a hurried post, but totally cool! I meant to tell you yesterday how I love the lizard header, I also love the 3-D snappy MADSNAPPER heading. The recipe sounds yummy!! We don't need meat every day. Why would an old lizard choose to live on a porch where two big dogs live?? I don't get it. I would love for you to do a post on the lizards in Florida, also the fiddler crabs and giant bugs. Phil is on the couch cracking up. He says to tell you that it must be true, dogs really DO eat homework!! hope you have a great day!!

Oh that's great!! My dog loves to chew up tissue, napkins.....? Other than that she's alright. I would hate to call too! Lovely photos..my youngest cat is the one who goes after those geckos or lizards OR chameleons! We have no cockroaches because of them (lizards)..love those guys!
My husband fixed my neices computer but we took a drive over to her house last night to plug some things in the right way. It comes with the job as the habits with the animal company we keep! Glad your dinner came out..you sound like me!

Chicken less pasta sounds like my kind of menu.
I had to laugh...
Lizard seems very determined to 'hang around' I hope he doesn't press his luck with Jake,I'd say he wouldn't have much chance.

Funny Sandra... A Chicken-less Chicken Pasta... I'll bet it WAS good.... Isn't being a 'Senior' just LOADS of fun???? ha......

Oh--don't you hate having to change passwords on your accounts --over and over and over. We have a little card where we put our passwords ---and I have to make new cards because of changing passwords so much... Duh!!!!

Have a great day tomorrow --and I'll be waiting to see the pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love the lizard header. Cool picture! Love the chicken-less, chicken pasta dish story! I hate having to make up passwords. I cannot possibly remember them all. Pat is better than me. Looking forward to the castle pics.

The chicken-less pasta sounds a lot like something I would do, but pasta is always good. The lizard is really cool and makes a great header photo.

I am intrigued by the castle gate, looking forward to hearing more about it.
