Stop and Smell the Moss Rose

Q: What did the big flower say to the small flower?

A: What's up Bud.

Q: Where does seaweed go to look for a job?

A: "The ""kelp wanted"" section

Q: What kind of flower grows on your face?

A: Tulips!

The best way to garden is to put on a wide-brimmed straw hat

and some old clothes. And with a hoe in one hand and a cold

drink in the other, tell somebody else where to dig.

these are more practice shots. I did not adjust the color, sharpened a little, this is out of the camera using AV on my Rebel.
Taken in bright sun.

what could be better, flowers to smile at  you and jokes to make you smile. hope you did!

Those are groan up jokes. No I didn't spell groan wrong - those jokes bring a groan up from your belly LOL! However, the smiling flowers did put a smile on my face. I especially like that last one with the very soft flowers dotting the background. You've got this DOF thing down pretty good.

Well, I just love that quote by Bix Bender! I'm going to put it on the prayer line!! I didn't know what a moss rose was, do they really only grow around moss? I can see the photos get lighter with each one. Are the moss roses yours? Are they considered weeds?

Cute jokes - love the smiles they gave me... how are you these days? Feels like forever since we chatted! Lovely little pink flowers. The last one is my favorite too - great DOF!

Hi Sandra, I wanted to visit earlier but had to get up early as we're heading out to the other side of the Island for the day. I had my post ready though. I get car sick sometimes so Ikm learning to make ginger tea -i chewed on the root instead and it stops any upset..I'm sure testing it though by commenting while driving? I love all your quotes and captures..found myself just staring at that beautiful pink!! Garden of enchantment! I would love to join you for an ice tea!!

Beautiful shots, I love the color of these flowers. Did you notice the center of the upper flower (the one in your last shot)? The center is almost a heart shape. Okay, I am seeing hearts everywhere these days.

Love the new background with the palm trees.

Your practice shots are wonderful -- better than some of the jokes! Seriously, though, this is a delightful post.
