Walkabout - Back in the Back Alley

One of the first things we saw as we walked down the alley, was this door. The door to the back alley, just a beautiful old door hinged and hanging/swinging clear, a door to an alley, who knew?

by David Aaron White

So many doors laid out before me

Many different paths, of which one must be chosen

Different doors can take us farther than the eye can see

Doors which determine how our future is woven
Which one shall I choose?

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. .Revelation 3:20 (Jesus, the best door of them all)

Pretty sure they do not stir with these spoons. (photos are not as clear due to early AM no sunshine yet)

The stove they do NOT cook on ( I love old things. Once we were walking on the beach and saw an old house, I commented to hubby Bob " I love odd shaped old things" his comment was "I am sure am glad" and tapped his chest)
there was a free standing screen made from 4 old doors, hiding things no one wants to see while drinking coffee, playing with computers or slurping smoothies. the panels each had paintings on them

Warning! Judy and I went Walkabout again yesterday. Same Island other end. It may be a long time before Walkabout Post come to an end.

I love the doors in the Back Alley. This definitely looks like a wonderful place to visit. That old stove is pretty neat as well.

By all means keep going :)

I love doors and windows, always triggers the fantasy.

I like those spoons, too.

And that sign that says Stop and Explore!

I love the sunflower door eventhough it seems upside down! What a fun place to explore.

Ahh..you went back! Terrific Sandra- I love the doors..everything about it- but the way you highlighted this with the quotes/verse was really super. I think what makes a good blog (like yours) is no one feels overwhelmed..nothing too wordy but just magnified with certain points! Nice job! I love sunflowers and that tree has to be my favorite- very unique..
So that's what Bob said huh,(lol)..
Well, the stove and chimes are really cool as well! Enjoyed your walk about!

We had no idea that we would find such treasures when we went walkabout. We kept finding more and more and more!
Please note that I am not an early morning person but this sure is FUN!

I love old doors, I find them so intriguing. The first one is lovely, but what was behind it?

The spoons make a really pretty wind chime, not now but long ago someone stirred with them.

Very interesting doors, Sandra---especially the one to the Back Alley...

And--the painted panels are neat... I'm surprised though that you didn't peak behind them ---and take some pictures of the interesting stuff nobody wants to see....

Have a great 4th of July. God Bless America.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love the walkabout posts, please by all means keep sharing. I love old things too, all the better if they have been used well and worn in good and proper! :o) I really love the fuzzy light of the early morning. Great captures!
