"Fall" in Florida

Not to be outdone by all you Autumn Color Chasers, I found these Fall Colors in my Backyard

this banana leaf did cooperate and give me a little "color"

Hubby came home yesterday and said find "Open Arms" on YouTube, I want you to hear it. I did and  I said how did you hear this on the radio, its from the 80's and NOT Country Music. His answer:
"country station had bucs game on it, I hit seek and stopped on  rock station because this song was playing".

How we both lived this long and never heard the song or of Journey, we have no clue.

Even I remember the song! It is amazing to think that music we thought of as tuneless and hard rock twenty... oops, thirty years ago, now has more melody than any of the junk rap today.

I gather the color of Fall in Florida is still "green".

LOVE your header, the PERFECT fall color!! And all your other pictures. You always have such georgous pictures, you really don't need to say anything, though your story today is very amusing!! Journey is one of my favorite groups from the 80's!! Their lead singer was Steve Perry, who did his own solo album. You would love his song "Oh Sherry" It was also a big hit. You should listen to it. I know Open Arms by heart. Now go and listen to Faithfully. If you like this one, you will probably like that, as well. It's equally pretty. Hmmm...shall I get you The Best Of Journey for Christmas?? He he!! Phil and I are huge rock fans and I have read encyclopedias on it abd can even tell who some guitar players are by listening to them play. I grew up during The Beatles rage, and went to see them.

Header is so striking. Loved all the light play in the banana leaves. Journey was a fitting close to the post!

Great pics! You certainly have green leaves in FL! The banana tree leaf looks more like something from MN. ha ha! Journey is a great band. Love that song. Thank you for putting it in my head now for the rest of the day....

That is a beautiful shot of the Bird of Paradise in your header. I like all your FL Fall colors but green is always my favorite.

I've never been much of a Journey fan (a little too soft rock for my taste) but I remember that song well.

Just love the way you have captured the light and shadows in the first two Sandra. That is a beautiful Hibiscus.

Dont feel alone, we do not get fall colors here either so I always gawk at people who post pictures of the wonderful colors.
