Steering Wheel Tri-Pod

On my long bi-weekly trip to the library (3 miles) I sat the Coolpix on my steering wheel and clicked away. Notice how far back I stayed from the cars and  not many cars coming at me.

Oops! are you feeling dizzy and like the building is sliding off the globe? the camera moved when I went around the corner, imagine that. For some reason this Tallest Building In Bradenton, fascinates me when the clouds reflect in it. We have no sky scrapers, this one is about 10 floors and can be seen from anywhere in town.

Just merrily clicking from the steering wheel, check out that sky!

I talk to myself about how wonderful the sky is. the church steeple, the lamp post.

Yeaa! the signal is RED. Lean far out the window, Quick the light will be green and you will miss The Shot. Look, the clouds are in the windows.
Here is it, The Shot out my drivers side window.

do I know how to have fun or not? do you shoot from the window of your car/truck? have you ever used your steering wheel as a tripod?
Get out there and LOOK UP

I almost thought that building was going to fall on me. LOL!! What a pretty town by the looks of it. Love the cloud reflections in the windows of the building Sandra.

Charming town, lovely blue sky decorated with white clouds, beautiful reflection in the glass façade of the building. I really enjoyed while watching these beautiful photos and reading what you wrote. Your sense of humor and your cheerful spirit made me smile both in this post and the previous one. :-)

That is a great idea! Beth takes some pics from the vehicle when she is riding along but I will have to tell her about this! BTW, I went back after breakfast this morning and read my blog and found I had put the wrong date in....it IS corrected! What can I say -- it was a busy and late night at RRC!

You must keep your car windows very clean! I'm glad to see you on the way to the library! I am on our library board of trustees. We have approval to build a new library and are in the final planning stages. Can't wait.

I've been out all morning snapping away like a ..... mad snapper! However, the wrapping on my "connecter cable" says: STOP! Be sure to install the driver software from the enclosed CD-ROM before connecting the camera to the computer with this cable." Huh? I have to figure this one out.

Best,
Bonnie

These are all great cloud reflections! The first one is really good, too! Us snappers are the only ones who really want a red light. I snap from the car all the time, and from the open window as the car is moving, me hanging out! I love being able to see some of your downtown!! So pretty, of course we have no palm trees. Most libraries have something cool in front, does yours?

I don't try to take pictures while I'm driving in the Los Angeles area. I't all I can do to get to my destination without some crazy driver running me off the road or someone shooting at me from a freeway overpass!

Sandra, they would probably arrest us here in the Pacific northwest. ;)

Great shots of the downtown scapes and clouds. It has been a long time since we've been to Bradenton. Hope all is well there.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I clicked on your "web page" in profile, there was an error message; you might want to check that when you get a chance.

You have some really great views on your drive Sandra, those reflections on the building are wonderful.

We have three colleges in our small town and lots of narrow streets, I don't dare let myself get too distracted while I drive. I do however take lots of shots while stopped at traffic signals.

I've never used the steering wheel as a tripod, but after seeing the great results you get, I may give it a try.

Neat pictures, Sandra.... I love seeing that building with the cloud reflections.

Gorgeous idea to use your steering wheel as a tripod... Just be careful --and don't do it while in traffic.. I'm not worried about what you would do... It's the other idiots out there on the road.

Hugs,
Betsy

Love the pictures! Especially the clouds in the building's windows. I told Pat that I thought the layout of your blog looked different. I noticed it a few days ago but just mentioned it. He said, she did that a long time ago. I guess I am not very observant. That is why I am not a photographer, I guess. DUH!

I love the pictures but I don't understand how you did it. No use explaining, I don't have a car anyway... ;)
