Lovin Skeeter.....

The Joy of it All.......Click on photos to enlarge, click back to return to post.

The most prevalent color for Miniature Donkeys is gray-dun which consists of a gray colored body, light colored nose - or dark colored nose -, light colored belly and inside legs, with a dark color dorsal stripe down the back and over the shoulders. The dorsal stripe is known as the donkeys cross.

donkeys can range in color from black and white and everything in between. This includes chestnut/sorrels, white donkeys, "spotted" donkeys.

Donkeys do not breed true to color. Never knowing what color foal will be produced is part of the excitement of having foals

Think Doogie would mind having one as a "brother or sister?" ;o)

I love these pictures of the kids, especially the little cutie in the peach colored dress! Who is in the grass skirt taking pictures, the teacher? Does each kid get a picture of themself with the donkey? I'll wait to find out in your next post. I'm glad you'll be doing more posts so I can find out more. And really glad you were able to arrange to take and post photos!!

These are wonderful pictures of the children with Skeeter. Skeeter is being very patient and the children all look enthralled.

Love all the pictures. How sweet. Especially love the look on the face of the little girl in the second picture and the first shot is just precious.

The children seem to be fairly at ease with that little guy.

What a special treat for the children, interacting with a child-sized donkey! Loved all your Skeeter posts and looking forward to next installment. Oh, and Rich's T-shirt garnered my own donkey hee-haw! Reminds me of the director of a research lab where I worked, introducing candidates for a position to the assembled room full of researchers. "When you have this many Ph.D.s in one room," he said, "half of them think they can do a better job than you can and the other half know they can."

Little Skeeter seems to be enjoying the attention as much as the kids enjoy petting him. I never knew a donkeys didn't breed true to color, guess I hadn't really thought about it. Thanks for the info.

So, the donkey doesn't like the look of purple spider rings! Who knew. Skeeter is really adorable and so are the kids. It must have been around Halloween as I thought I saw one little blonde girl with some streaks of green in her hair.....

I guess this beautiful little donkey is very friendly because he/she meets all these children.
