Proof Postive!

My husband feeds my addiction to MadSnapperitis.
I came home after a morning out and Hubby comes in from his workshop with a jar. "I saved something for you" he says

"what is it" I say lets go outside. we walk to the swing and he dumps out a shield bug, this shield bug. it fly's up in my face causing me to almost pitch my camera over my shoulder into the pool.

I whine "so much for that shot, I only go ONE!"
a few minutes later I step inside and

There It is!

and here it IS.

isn't this Proof Postive I am The MadSnapper????

You are indeed the one and only Madsnapper Sandra. I have only ever seen one shield bug in the Uk they are really hard to find.

Yep! You've got it bad . . . and good! Loved both shots, and the backlighted one looks like the creature is ready to pounce. What is the plant in the gorgeous header pix? And I haven't explored older posts enough to know if there is an earlier post of Rosie, but the photograph in memory of her is so special, just wondered if she was one of your dear rehab friends. I love that "hands" photo. Have a great rest of your Thursday.

LOL! Sandra thanks for making me smile this morning. Your header is beautiful. I'm glad you didn't throw your camera in the pool.

Yes, you are one of my blogging friends in the "addict" column. However, I am not going to participate in any intervention since I think your addiction is amazing. And those "shadow" shots of the shield bug are pretty amazing as well.

I'm hoping my comments get through this morning.

HERE GOES!

Best,
Bonnie

Yes, it's proof and you're living with an 'enabler' which certainly doesn't help. HaHa And I agree with Bonnie that an intervention is not appropriate because you're way beyond help!! You know, it takes an addict to know one!

Too funny!! We also call them stink bugs and they have invaded this part of the country, ours look a little different, but there's different kinds. I posted one a while ago, and am going to do it again, because they've helped destroy the local apple crop. They have no enemies. But your picture is so much better than mine!!

Beautiful header today!
The shield bug is a little too spidery for my liking ;) (I did take pictures of one myself back in the summer, it wasn't exactly the same kind though)

That's proof enough for me and that's also one ugly bug.
I drive my husband nuts with my camera but he's pointed things out to me that I should get a picture of so I think he secretly enjoys my addiction to it...lol

Yeees! His eyes look small and beady in the first. I like the last two the best anyway..maybe because of the silhouette and tone. He looks kinda big too?
Funny how husbands can get into it! ha-

Hi Sandra -

Thank you. The shots are talking indeed.

You have proven your case, yes - you are the MadSnapper.

Yes---there is only ONE Madsnapper in the entire universe--and that is YOU...... And I think it's great that you have your sweet hubby helping you out with wonderful critters to photograph...

Cool bug and great shots. Echoing Joan, welcome to the world of insect photography. They are a challenge and a single shot sometimes is all you get.

Your new header is great, gotta love that gorgeous red.

All I know it that it is a bug and Chatty doesn't like bugs at all! Lol

Good shot though.
