Mable's Rose Garden

Inside the house and the museum of Art are many treasures. There are just as many pieces of art in the Rose Garden.

New Years Eve, the roses were in full bloom. Goregous blue sky and a  27,225 sq. ft. garden of roses

This Rose and its buds reminded me of peppermint.

there are literaly hundreds of staues on the property, about 50 or more in and around the rose garden. NO I will not post ALL of them

I used to do rock climbing as a youth, but I was much boulder back then.   Adam - Brooklyn

She was only a whisky maker but he loved her still.

That first rose is incredible with the variations...wow! So "strange" to see roses this time of year in a sunny garden! We have rain and snow everywhere and are pretty near colorless in the world...

Smiling in Minnesota! Thanks for the joke! Beth use to have a rose garden at one of the places she lived. When I showed these to her she was really impressed. The peppermint like one is her favorite.

How wonderful to see roses in bloom on New Year's Eve. I did recognize one of the roses, but it will be a long time before our bush has any blossoms on it.

Ah ----I love the Rose Garden.. I hope you will show us MUCH more of the roses.. I love that one rose you showed us and think that it may be one that we have, named Peppermint Splash... George would have taken macro pictures of all of the individual rose blooms and buds.

Thanks for sharing the beauty.
Hugs,
Betsy

That garden was amazing. The red and white striped rose was my favorite. I'm freezing my behind off up here this morning, think I need to migrate south for a while. Supposed to be super cold again tonight. Blow some warm air up this way girl!

Always fun to come here for my chuckle for the day. Love the boulder one.
Beautiful roses. I may have to go back into my archives and post a rose to brighten this very grey, dull day.

It's a tie between your header and the last picture. I love that sweet little bench with the fern things around it. Or is it a bench? Why is that hole in the top? That one beautiful rose reminds me of George's Peppermint Rose, Wonder if it is the same kind? I see by his comment that it might be. The sun is out today!

I think it opens!! Definately a treasure chest and not a bench! Did you look in? Gold doubloons maybe?

What a beatiful place to calm down and go photosearching.

Sandra, thanks for the comment on my blog roses. If you enlarge that picture you can see that its a fat bumble bee scooting around the rose. The rain has finally stopped but its just plain murky here.

I love that green foxtail fern at the bottom... not really a fern exactly. If we were down in your zone, I would have these in my flowerbeds for sure.

The pix looking straight up through the lacy roof of the gazebo blows me away . . . as do the three puns, in an entirely different way!!!

The first rose is very similar to one I have it my front yard, mine has a bit more pink but it still has the peppermint look.

I love that gazebo and your shot of the sky through the roof, gorgeous!

Well, getting over here soon, apparantly wasn't soon enough! Sorry about that. Well this is cute..the jokes and I love this series!! The roses are gorgeous.. gosh, where am I?! I came in, and it's hard enough to get my lap top adjusted -let alone type (did you say you got the small screen)? Anyway, alright, I'm in the garden with the gazebo and the statues! Sandra, I love your header- stunning and the top of the gazebo is just to cool!! I want to steal it from you (ah ha ha)!!
