Six Words from Solomon

Fear God and keep His commandments.
Ecclesiastes 12:13

But you, oh Sovereign Lord, deal well with me for your names sake out of the goodness of your heart, deliver me. For I am poor and needy and my heart is wounded within me.
I fade away like and evening shadow. Psalm 109: 21-23

One beautiful Sunday morning, Reverend Barnard announces to his congregation, 'My good people, I have here in my hands three sermons......
A $100 sermon that lasts five minutes

A $50 sermon that lasts fifteen minutes

And a $20 sermon that lasts a full hour.

Now, we'll take the collection and see which one I'll deliver.'

I love that! :)) And beautiful header! I finally decided I was going to quit the picture and header altogether. I quite like how it ended up becoming. And having the picture in the sidebar is somehow easier. I don't have to re-do the title each time. Well, until I get fickle and have to play with it again. :)

Love the hibiscus header and your photographic evidence of sunshine. We are having cloudy skies and occasional -- so far -- sprinkles. But i can always count on you for some SONshine on a cloudy, needy day.

Well enjoy your day my friend. It's been pretty rainy lately and a little chilly..so I'm glad it's clear here today!

The beauty in your pics had me wondering. So then I was struck by your words and I ended up smiling more. Thanks.

HA HA HA ----love that last story... If all preachers did that, churches would get alot more money to operate on ...... People DO like shorter sermons... IF a preacher gets going too long, he loses me totally....

Cute post.
Hugs,
Betsy

Gorgeous palm trees and shadows, I love the sunny look since the sun has been playing hooky here.

I would imagine the church had a record breaking offering that day!
