BB's - Marbles & Golf Balls...

Remember this flower from a week ago? below is the itty bitty tomato that came from the flower, it popped out yesterday. it is the size of a marble.

Below is the other big flower, today it is the size of a BB

I will spare you the Golf Ball sized since you have seen then in the past. Don't you think it was clever to draw you in by NOT mentioning the word TOMATO?
This is what I call the Tomato Bride Bouquet... now we are hoping something will get ripe SOON

As of 4 PM Saturday we have 45 tomatoes sized from BB's to Marbles to Golf Balls, some of you may wonder why I keep posting on tomatoes, since everyone grows these things. it is because they are in buckets and when I step out the door they are staring me in the face.
45

Bob and I are watching together and MadSnapper is Snapping
Tomorrow is GRAPEFRUIT
 (can you say OH NO!?)

Your little tomato is so perfect. It doesn't even look real. The fact that it's the perfection of nature makes it that much better.

Well, what ARE you ging to do wih all the tomatoes? Maybe they will not all ripen at the same time, so it will be no problem eating them all through the spring and summer. Our next door neighbors grow them. They put a table in their side yard. They put the tomatoes on it with a sign charging something like fifty cents apeice on the honor system. GRAPEFRUIT??? Oh, goody!!! I have never seen any growing!! Well, I've probably never been to a sate that can grow them, I'm thinking only Florida and California??

Thanks for stopping by my blog. We used to live right outside of Perkasie in Hilltown. I am sure your husband will know where that is. We moved a little south. My Amish photos were taken from a trip to Lancaster. It takes a little over an hour to get there.

Good morning Sandra (it is for me)..smile)) Well, I get obsessive about stuff too. My husband has decided to dig up an older dirt pile for..let's see if I can get a little garden started? I've grown a few varieties over the years but the small cherry tomato's seem to withstand the best..besides being tasty.

You may get them all at the same time. Do you can? Did you notice the little hairs or fuzz on the little bitty tomato?

I really like tomatoes, but they are now so expensive that we don't get them. You will save (or possibly make) a fortune with your tomatoes.
I haven't priced grapefruit lately, but I look forward to seeing your post.

Believe me, if I had tomato plants like that I would be snapping pictures of them too. I'm definitely going to try and grow some this year. I remember the good old days when my dad grew a garden. In the summer we would go out and pick a tomato and sit down and eat the whole thing like an apple :)

If tomorrow is grapefruit does that mean you'll be getting further from the porch?

The flowers are so pretty! you're lucky to be able to grow your own fruit/vegetable, I'm in a city where I have to go to supermarket to get my greens! Thanks for sharing.

The word tomato doesn't scare me, I love seeing your beautiful plants. Bob is inspiring me to try growing tomatoes in a bucket, I can't possibly do any worse than when I plant them in the garden.
