Forget the Buckets...

Arriving in our driveway, I waited patiently for the huge electric door to crawl up, and as I waited, I looked through the garage and out the back door that was standing open.

"WHAT is THAT" Sandra said
"That is the yellow pepper seeds, I planted" said Johnny Appleseed Bob
"I feel a POST coming on" said Sandra

(START LOL NOW)

Have I mentioned we are the king and queen of recycle? click on lnk to see all the  things we re-use
the seeds are in butter tubs, on a lid from a bucket, on top of a shoe rack that I TOLD him to put in the garbage.
Are you wondering WHY this adorable face is in the pepper seed post?
Baby Girl LOVES her greens, she devoured the 6 inch tall , sweet, tender and very green plants of the papaya Bob planted.

Now he grows them in what we call our SAFE ZONE which is our area between two fences, that keeps the dogs from the electric power meter reader.
Since the sun only shines on certain places at certain times, Hubby of the Green Thumb (no photos yet of the thumb) created this contraption that can be moved to follow the sun beams.
If anyone is interested in purchasing one (the contraption, not the dog, she is FREE), just send me your check and address. HA HA

What a great idea for a stand, that's the best use for a shoe rack I have ever seen. I am learning so much from Bob's planting techniques. I can grow any flower under the sun but vegetables wilt and die under my care. Maybe Bob's hints will help me.

Baby Girl knows that greens are good for you :) Great recycling going on there and I'm always impressed with the plants. Can you clone Bob's green thumb and send me one of those?

I actually thought the contraption to be very nice! The light makes the rack look kind of light green. I thought it was a proper stand, har har har!!! Till you said about the butter tubs and shoe rack!! We should ALL be that inventive!! I have never tasted yellow pepper, how do they compare with green, which is the only kind I've had? I have heard that the green is the strongest of the colors. It's always so pretty when the grocery store has the red, green, and yellow ones lined up.

You are so funny - love your humor!
And of course! What else can you use butter containers for when one runs out of butter??? Fabulous!

Woohoo! Looks a little like the Skupien homestead! We have the sun situation, too, Hubby mentioned today he was thinking of recycling the base and wheels, all that is left of an old pop up camper, and turning it into a mobile garden, just wheel it around to follow the sun.

When I went to your recycling post, however, i realized he and I are not even in the royal family of recyclers. You guys have earned the crowns. Double enjoyment with the post and link to recycling post!

Someone had to borrow my lap top for awhile so I tossed frisbee! Your dogs are hilarious! I save seeds too (even though the last couple years I have nothing to show for it)..but I so want to get a garden going this season! I have a lot to do when I get out there! It's good he does this (lol)..counters tend to look a little messy?
