Stormy Weather....

Last night the rains came, the thunder boomed, the lightniing flashed for 5 hours. the above bush is the one in the last photo on the first post today. you can see, it was beat down.
Hubby tied it all up and this is what I found on it.

Maters are all safe and sound and beautiful with raindrops
and look what it did to the baby peppers.. YIPEEE

Dry as a bone no more! Mater plant and fruit are gorgeous and envy producing! Mine just have a few blooms right now. I don't think they will ever measure up to your hubby's kitchen counter tomatoes, though.

GREAT!!! I have yet to achieve one single good drop shot, that is one of my photography goals for this summer. I always run out after a rain, but to no avail. You got some really good ones.

It's probably good we don't live on the same street, My birds would peck your cash crop to pieces. The problem with birds is, they peck one hole in each mater.

Love the tomatoes and the rain drops. Beautiful! I will be waiting for an invitation to your house for a tomato sandwich on white bread with salt, pepper and Blue Plate Mayonaise when they get ripe.... :-)

I LOVE the pictures of the tomatoes with the rain drops. I think it is actually beautiful. Glad the storm didn't do too much damage - we had one too.

I started to scream out "SAVE THE TOMATOES" then thankfully I saw the rest of the pictures.
I love getting pictures after it rains.

At least I'm motivated when I leave here..seriously going to make every effort to get my garden in this year! Sandra..these are just soo very lovely today!! Wow..the droplets are beautiful! Plus, you have peppers- how cool is that! I use to grow many different varieties and enjoyed it. Have you heard of chili pepper water? That's what I do..then you shake it on Mexican or Hawaiian dishes (it's hot) but just enough to spice things up a little.
Well you got pounded with thunder and lightening (we just got lots of rain) while Ginny and Phil had snow!
Anyhow, great post my dear:)

We had rain too... with a little sleet but no snow. Just cold, cold, cold. One of my black swallowtail butterflies emerged today.. two weeks early and there really wasn't much out for him to feed on, but he was all topsy turvy in the aquarium.. so I put him on some pansies and will hope for the best. I might need to cover the aquarium with black paper to cut down on the light and try to fake the others out for a couple of weeks. Perhaps this early change to daylight savings time has something to do with it... or not. I thought about it a second and that seems a bit silly to think. Who knows.

Love the raindrops on the tomatoes! It's been raining here to but the wind keeps the drops blown off of everything.

I am singing "raindrops on maters and whiskers on kittens..."
