Tomato UPDATE for those who CARE

We have about 30 more yellow blooms.. for the begginning of the story go to Labels /Bucket Garden
the plants are now above waist height, they were knee high when I posted last
See how big our baby is? there are 7 on the 2 plants and 6 more on the others plants, for those who don't know, my hubsband grew these from tomato slime off the cutting board.

Can you find Jake in the last photo?

I just showed Phil this and told him the story of the primal ooze. He didn't even know what tomato blooms looked like, and we have both seen lots of the plants, but not these flowers. I only like tomatoes cooked, not raw. It's like George Carlinn said, they look all oozy and gelatinous, like something that is just starting to form but never quite got there.

Yep! I see Jake! You will have so many tomatoes you will have to set a HUGE Farmers Market in your backyard!

Ginny, one person's gelatinous is another's feast! Sandra, thanks for the update. And I loved your bones addition to the shadow series, but the header with a shadow photo within a shadow photo topped it all.

I got so wrapped up in the tomatoes and showing Phil that I forgot to say how much I ADORE your green shadow header!! Wow, totally cool!!!! And I'm glad I returned to tell you that, because I just saw the other post below. Only you could make a dog bone jar look like jewels!! Next, you'll turn the bones into diamonds.

I saw Jake. And those tomato plants - just think in a few weeks - home grown tomatoes. I tried to grow them once - do big green caterpillars ring a bell - are they called horn worms?

I'm going to have to grow some so I can taste Fried Green Tomatos. I've never had one.

Tomatoes already! I'm jealous girl! We'll be lucky to have a fresh tomato from the garden on July 4th! Your tomatoes look so good! I'm sure they are going to taste good too!

Have a Great Day!

Sandra, very colorful header and Bob's tomatoes look great. Maybe I should tell Grenville he doesn't need to buy seed packets but can try this way - good results.

We are a long way from having tomatoes on the vine, but I'll make up for that come Summertime :)

You're going to have lots of good eating soon. The plants definitely look healthy. It's hard to believe that they started from slime!
Jake looks like he's enjoying the pool life.

If we care? Of course we care, we saw them as babies so we want to see the tomatoes grow up!

Maybe my problem with growing tomatoes is I have always started with plants, I think slime might be the way to go. Bob certainly has good luck with it!

That looks like it might in AUGUST here...

That's some pretty impressive cutting board slime you've got there. You've got some crop coming in there. Good thing too since the prices in the grocery stores these days is outrageous.
Spotted Jake in the last photo no problem. :)

Now that's impressive...slime grown tomatoes.
My Mom used to tell a story about me when I was between 3 and 4 years old.
It seems I came into the house so excited and told my mom to come out in the backyard to see how I had helped her. There sitting proudly on the back steps was every single little green tomato from their plants. I guess I thought I was helping by picking them. They were no way ready for eating. Sometimes "helping" isn't the best thing.
