That was very moving to watch. How sad at such a young age.

I remember this story. It's sad that someone so young was taken as such an early age.

Hi Sandra, Read both blogs today... Yellow pepper, huh???? Well----sometime in the future, you will have lots of neat yellow peppers in your garden....

I will pray for Derek Hotsinpiller's family... What a shame... Just senseless...

Have a great day.

That's got to be one of the five most dangerous jobs in the world. I would like to see some statistics on the mortality rate compared to other dangerous jobs. And now they are hiring 700 more. My DIL's family are from Elkins, and she and my son still go there on a regular basis. The roads are so windy and steep on mounbtains with no guardrails that they have to take Dramimine before they go. The kids throw up. I started wathing the video, but as soon as I saw all the cars lined up with their lights on in the rain, and the church at the end of the road, I started crying. Mariah Carey singing didn't help. Turned it off.

I seen it on our local news when it happened. I wasn't sure if it was the same young man or another one so I looked and seen that it was the same one. It's such a sad thing to have happened to someone so young. You always hear the teachers whining that they don't get paid enough money for their jobs. I think the police should get paid way more than they do. Teachers make more than them.

Hugs,
Angela

It's really sad..my niece just got married to a police officer (family), and my sister-in-law is now a deputy..she's in her late fifty's!! My brother (not involved) -his family are the ones I told you planned to live here but moved back to Calif. Anyhow, I plan to watch a documentary movie my son told me about (American Drug War: The Last White Hope) soon..but it really is a war..I still can hardly believe the magnitude in Japan? So much going on it makes your head spin!! Thanks for sharing this- the video really puts things in perspective doesn't it?!

Sandra, how moving to see so many paying their tribute to this young man. I am not one for vengenance, but in cases such as these do hope the killer is put to death. It was tough to watch and listen to the song. Thanks for the links.
