FMTSO- Texture

This weeks Friday My Town Shoot Out assignment is Texture. I found many definitions out there.

texture photography is any imagery that depends, at least partly, for its impact on the texture of the objects in the image and/or the way the light hits it.

Texture will be defined as the surface detail of an object. This detail can be composed of surface irregularities (such as the wood grain of an old plank)

or of small forms on a surface (such as a mass of roots from an ancient tree). in this case leaves on side walk and bench below

I found this definition on Ron Bigelow, there are many many more out there.

Love your pictures Sandra. I haven't had much time this week and also feeling a bit unsure how to define texture so I've not done my post yet.

Wow!! Love the leaves on the bench and the old broom, and the construction shadows, that is really a find!! Looks like a church being built? But my favorite is the brick wall shadows, beautiful!

I'm still not quite together as far as blogging..just wanted to stop in and say boo- that I didn't forget about you!! I'm working on a garden so you could say I'm digging more than shooting (lol). Still, I may post a little something for the weekend though? (hugs)

Bravo! Those are great texture shots.

I'm off to take a nap. Four a.m. weddings take their toll on me. I need to rest up for tonight's festivities at the palace!!

Best,
Bonnie
