Light in the Dark 2

After shooting the cactus, I took camera inside and returned to stare up in the tree.

When what to my wondering eyes did appear?? one of the Screech Owls that live in our oak. We hear them but never see them. I run in the door, grab the camera and hubby yells What is out there?

OWL she screeches, not the owl but ME    Alas! it is to dark, he is to small, so I flash him one time  and watch until he flies away right over my head.

Oh, well, can't get the Owl let's see what the Poincana looks like being Flashed in the Dark with the external thingy..... you know the rest of this story.

so just in case you are bored to death with the same old flowers over and over here you go.

Lettuce rest, I'm feeling beet."

I was hoping the owl was what happened next. You got him, nice shot. The Poincana is gorgeous, it's not a flower we see here. I love to see them.

Glad you got a shot of any kind of the little screecher. Your flowers look like they were showing off for the camera. And a little shel Silverstein does lighten things up.

Good morning, Sandra!

You are a scream, I wonder what that poor bird thought that flash was? I hope you dont run across something more dangerous in the dark.....you know the things that go bump in the night....
OH! If you have neighbors close by, I bet they think the flash is heat lightneing.

Yesterday I left a comment on a blog that I thought was your blog. I don't know how I clicked on it. You are in my blogroll so I must have been on yours but clicked on one of your commenters. I left a kinda funny, kinda snarky comment and realized it was the wrong blog as my finger hit "enter". So, if you find any of your "people" scratching their heads--it was me!

One has to wonder what that poor owl was thinking after he quietly settled in for the night on a comfortable looking tree branch. He's probably scratching his head for sure.

Best,
Bonnie

You got a good picture of the owl. You've become quite expert at shooting in the dark with that 'external thingy'.

The blossom is a lovely shade of red!

I have never seen a screech owl, much less taken a photo of one.

Why did the tomato turn red?
Because it saw the salad dressing.

nice going on getting that owl. It's hard to believe that those shots were taken in the dark, they came out really good
