Amazing Dwarf Poinciana

Sorry for the Two Post day, but this plant makes me stare and stare and stare every morning. It is 6 feet tall and lives in a 5 gallon bucket, I have done many post on it, see label bucket garden on side bar.

The Thing IS.... I can't stop snapping at it. Try to imagine 6 feet tall and FOURTEEN of these pods, and all 14 have been there for 6 weeks, that is the amazing part. I told Bobby Appleseed it is like it is frozen in time.

I have 12 post in my drafts and am going back to the beach tomorrow, so hope you don't suffer to much from a two post day

Lots of seed pods if anyone wants to try growing one of these.

Your posts today are OUTSTANDING!!!! On this one I love the last two pictures best! So glad you finally showed an open seed pod so we can see what it looks like! And your post below is even more amazing, all those little roots, rooted in the sand!! How can the trees stay up, surely it would be shallow rooted? I have never seen such a thing. Geckos, REALLY??? WHY have you not posted them before??? Drive all over town and snap the different ones!!! I want to know WHY, too! If I thought these stars were interesting, the geckos would be even more so, I never heard of it before, and it tickles me to think of it. I'm admitting a secret now, but I love the Geico gecko, I can't help it. I want to have a cup of tea with him and hold him in my palm! I know he would be a gentleman!

Sandra, you never need to worry about a multiple post day, as your posts are interesting and entertaining too. I really enjoyed the tree roots at the beach; they looked like lots of snakes, but glad they were not.

I can see why you feel compelled to take photos of this plant! I have a few plants I feel the same about. :)

That is a beautiful plant, I love the color of those blooms. I would love to grow one but somehow I think it would hate the climate up here.

Have fun at the beach!

Well my mobile slowed to a crawl tonight so I'm back on my laptop briefly as it's been a long day! You know I love these too and wanted to say I like that shot of the hanging sea oats and I get a better look at the cute little heron too.
Your tree roots below are fantantic! The quote by John Muir is really pretty-
Well, I'm going to crash..hope you have a great weekend-
