Thanksgiving Day 2011

On November 22nd in Our Daily Bread devotional, I found these words.

Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.” G. B. Stern

The whole reason for saying thanks is to let the giver of a gift know how much you appreciate something.

Thank you all for being my blog friends and thank you Kim of  Stuff Could Always Be Worse  for telling me we have royalty free photos and clip art at Microsoft Images and that is where I found this beautiful turkey dinner.

we don't observe this day as a nation wide occasion, but in my old church, we have it in church.

I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful! You mean using these images won't ever get us into trouble? Now that IS a Thanksgiving gift, thanks to you and Kim. We read The Daily Bread, too! and The Upper Room and Portals Of Prayer.

Your header photo is gorgeous, and the thought from Daily Bread is wonderful. We should say as well as give thanks more often.
