The Sparkle of it All

If you hitch your wagon to a star, be sure it's the Star of Bethlehem. Spencer Walton

Selfishness makes Christmas a burden;
Love makes it a delight.

The joy of brightening a child's heart creates the magic of Christmas.
--W. C. Jones

It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you...yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand.
--Mother Teresa

 Christmas is a spark that ignites in someone's heart. Helen Keller
These are a few of the residents on  the glass shelves in my Christmas Nook,
The shelves are above my head, I took the pieces down to post them, the sparkle of it all is what I love.

Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. The sparkle of Holiday lighting and decorating. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course, you've done such a wonderful job of showing it.

'Course, I like sparkles any time. ,-)

“The grate had been removed from the wide overwhelming fireplace, to make way for a fire of wood, in the midst of which was an enormous log glowing and blazing, and sending forth a vast volume of light and heat; this I understood was the Yule-log, which the Squire was particular in having brought in and illumined on a Christmas eve, according to ancient custom.”

Very wise words in your quotes today. I do love the sparkle of Christmas.
Looking forward to finishing the decorating. My gimpy knee does slow me down somewhat but the tree is up, lights are on it and most of the ornaments. It will be so nice when its down and I can have my own sparkle.

The sparkle is my favorite part of Christmas decorations too. You have some beautiful pieces Sandra. The angel with the trumpet and the deer both reflect an amazing amount of color.

I love the Helen Keller quote.

Sandra, as much as I enjoyed seeing these lovely pieces, the quotes in this post were inspiring. I sometimes find it hard to get into the Christmas "spirit" with all the rampant commercialism, so finding a blog post like yours helps a lot. Thanks.
