Cheerios!

Hubby and I love Cheerio's, last week I opened the box and found this wonderful book inside by Liz Garton Scanlon. The story is such a good lesson for us. Read the photo below to set up the story.  You can buy the book on Amazon

Noodle is a down and out worm, Lou is an upbeat bird

Some days don't go well, right from the start, Noodle woke up with a rain cloudy heart.

His bright side was muddy. His high points sank low. the grass grew much greener in other worms rows.

Some days are like this. What's a worm gonna do? Well, if he is Noodle, he'll lean on his Lou.

"My head has no eyes," Noodle said, feeling glum.

"so, life's a surprise!" Lou said to his chum.

"And I don't have a beak". said Noodle, quite blue.

"But you're long, and so sleek, which is perfect for you!"

"But also no feet" Noodle said with a shrug

"I think you 're complete." And Lou gave him a hug.

there are more pages and more good advice for all of us, but I will not print all of it. It does have a happy ending.

WHAT?? Are we returning to the good old days when we got a prize in the box of cereal??? And we would chose which cereal to eat only by what kind of prizes they offered...maybe gas stations will start giving away glasses and knives to people who fill the tank. I love Cheerios too, and it is one of the few cereals I can eat. But now there are so MANY different Cheerios!! Even chocolate! And some of them are not purely oats, only the original is.

Mr. eats Cheerios too. In fact, he gave the neighbors' great grands some toy figures out of his latest box. Hope he gets the book now!

I'm as surprised as Ginny, I didn't know they still put things like this in cereal anymore. That is a really cute book.

RE Ginny's comment about the chocolate cheerios. I worked for the company for over five years and kept asking at meetings when they were going to make chocolate Cheerios. Guess someone finally got the hint. I love Cheerios too.

That's so nice! We don't get any "treats" in our boxes of cheerio's [tehehe] that's me fav cereal as well, usually mixing it with Special K. I love that story, the worm is so cute [in a way], and I like happy endings!
HAve a lovely day!

I've seen some of those boxes that say there is a book inside. I guess I should have bought Cheerios the last time instead of Special K. That sounds like a really cute book and I think I like Lou :)

MOM IS A CHEERIO ADDICT TOO...She says the only thing better than a large bowl of the round goodness is a good book to go with it.
Too funny...ps Mom's middle name is Lou too

What a great find in a Cheerios box. It sounds as if Lou has lots of good advice for Noodle.
