Me and The Beach...arrrhhhhh

2008

Diane is the culprit that took all these photos of me. you all know I do not like being in front of the camera. She and I both delight in snapping shots of each other. Above we were in Emerson Preserve, below we were at the Ringling Museum.  I can't remember who took this photo.

2009

These photos were taken at the beaches that were in my beach post this week. Above is Coquina Beach and note I HAD to stand on that dock because the sign says WARNING, KEEP OFF

2009

Above is at Beer Can Island
I KNOW I look Old and Fat, but I am 27 pounds lighter than in these photos. still old and a little less fat

2008

Above photo is the dunes at Fort Desoto Beach, Fort Desoto is the most beautiful beach in Florida in my book. to see photos from others of this beach click HERE or just google the name in Google Images.

2008

These are NOT photo shopped, that silly bird sat right there on the gazebo and let me walk up and pose with him. I was happy he did not poke me with that long beak.

And NO, I am NOT full of myself and posting my own photo's, This is just to prove I DID take those beach photos. Actually, I just saw these and wanted to.... Sorry Diane.....

That is amazing that the bird just stood there and posed. The beach is so beautiful. I really like that large piece of driftwood you are standing on. Are those shells hanging on it?

Brave girl! :) I especially love the photo with the sign and the one below in the tree. I could do with losing 27 pounds myself - congratulations to you for doing it!

Are you kidding?? That was a live bird?! Wow, he really wanted to speak personally to you, didn't he. lol. Fun photos, and my favorite is the one with you standing next to the warning sign. :-D

WELLLL, it's about time!!! Pics of the pic-taker!!!

I totally understand always being behind-the-camera. But once in a while, we do have to "put on our big girl panties" and post a pic of US.

I have! Honest I have. :-)

But if you don't remember when, I'm not gonna' tell you either. -gigggles-

And you are now 27 pounds lighter than then! Lucky you! I've been trying, and *nursing* about a 4-5 pound loss, for too long. -moan- -sigh- -Blast!- -piffffle- :-))))

Looks like a great time with your friend and it was wonderful to see you front of the camera!! Sometimes when I look back at photos I wonder if I was really there as there is no evidence of me being there:)
Got a new show you and hubby might like-- Duck Dynasty, it's on A&E. It is a HOOT!!

You look lovely...and I too never seem to be in the photos-they are all of my husband and son, dog and cat...he who controls the camera gets no photos...and doesn't have to worry about how one looks :) That's why I hold the camera :)

I love these pictures, especially the first two, you look so beautiful and happy, joy is radiating from you. And why not with beaches like this around there? You have GOT to be kidding about this bird!!!!! How COULD you? As much as I love birds, I would not have gotten that close, you are beak to beak and he could have pecked you. I have been attackd by birds much smaller. Why weren't you running and screaming?

I didn't think it was a real bird at first! lol Then you said it was and I looked again and lo and behold it was a real bird! lol That is incredible to get a picture of yourself with it that close to you! Cool! I will have to say that that sign confused me with it having other languages on it.

That's funny about the bird! Yes, I know about standing behind the camera as well. And sometimes, I think it's good that we get in front of it.

You look wonderful friend!

I love seeing these pictures of you. I feel like I know you and its fun to see who I have been talking to for so long.
Congratulations on loosing all that weight. Bravo.

Glad that big bird was nonviolent. And I think your comment on your appearance in the photos was a bit critical of yourself. What I see in this collection? Vibrant, active, adventuresome.

You are very photogenic! Not old & not fat. Not then and not now. :) I'm glad that bird didn't grab a lip. LOL. You always have such a lovely smile and look so happy. Thanks for sharing! :)
