Current ME

I shared the OLD me from 2007-2009 and a few wanted to see current ME. This was taken Monday 5/28/2012 at NOON in direct sunlight. Hubby did pretty good with the camera. The only changes i made were cropping, and on above a little frost on the edges. JUST like my HAIR....HA HA

I wanted to use the THINNING contraption on PicMonkey but did not. Wish it worked in real life.

Fear makes the wolf look bigger than he is....German Proverb found on Let Your Light Shine

The REAL me is full of fears of just about anything you can name. Here are a few of them. NOT all because you would stop reading....
List of FEARS
Heights, boats (anything that floats) water over my head, dark, dark places, elevators, closets, Spiders, Wasps, bees and Turkey gobblers and Roosters.
My What Iffer is Giant sized and I can find danger in every or anything.
I do not like to be controlled, held down, told what to do, MRI, all machines that TRAP us. If I am in a car I must be driving. I do allow hubby to drive on the interstate because?
I am afraid of driving on the interstate, not the DRIVING the MERGING with traffic getting ON that interstate.

I have the exact same fears that you do, except for the dark. And I have many more. Thanks for the link! Almost all my friends bug me about going on a CRUISE!! I finally told one that it is great for others, but not my idea of fun. She literally dropped her jaw and was horrified!!! I'm sorry but there are enough fears without having to worry about being on a big ship in the middle of a big body of water, and I don't care how many buffets they have!!! MERGING, yes, I shudder each time, and Phil always goes "What's wrong?" He should know by now. Each time we merge I feel like I have escaped with my life. You don't need the thinning contraption.

Good morning my friend, I like the pictures of you. I get nervous driving on the 'big'roads as well...when there's plenty of lanes and when you need to change...I have just started to use PicMonkey...it's a cool tool. Have a fantastic Friday! Getting ready for work here shortly and I certainly hope the time will fly until 5pm LOL!

Well everyone is scared of something I guess. With me it's fireworks. With Mum I think it must be vacuuming Hehe! Deccy x

Before I forget I love your header photo with that cute little bee. At least he isn't the scary kind.

Everyone is afraid of something. I don't like wasp and roosters, well they are evil. I was chased by one as a small child.

I am the opposite when it comes to driving. I would rather drive on the interstate cause riding with my hubby in that kind of traffic scares the living daylights out of me.

We share a few fears- I have to drive everywhere, but I stay off the interstate unless there is absolutely no way to go around it. This makes for fun times when DH and I are traveling to Colorado or Wyoming on vacation, let me tell ya! I will take a ten mile back road to avoid a right there interstate!

You look wonderful to me dear friend! I love that color on you ~ pretty!

I have a fear of elevators as well. But I had to get over it when we moved into our new office building a few years ago. I am on the top floor and there was no way I was doing four flights of stairs 3 to 4 times a day. But I still don't like them!

Wishing you a happy Friday!

Great photos of you and Hubby did a great job. For me it's pretty much just spiders.

That's a lovely portrait of you. I went to get a passport today, not that I'm likely to go anywhere since I share most of your fears of boats and heights and whatever ;) It was just a WHAT IF! Anyway I shall not want to show that photo to anyone, so there's another reason to just stay home!

Boy I agree with the merging into traffic! I think kids do that so much easier because they grow up playing video games. And in the games, if they crash, they just start over.

Nice photos, and love that blue!!

You look great in your photos! Blue is a color for you! I have a of spiders, especially after being bit by a Brown Recluse. Tall bridges freak me out! Hubby runs from wasp and our pups are scared of fireworks. I don't think I would want to drive in CA.

Wonderful pictures That blue is a great colour on you. I guess we al have our fears,be they large or small. I have a phobia about grasshoppers. The only good one is a dead one.

Pretty in BLUE! You look wonderful, Sandra!! I have many fears, too. Is it just a "girl thing"?

It's sad that fear controls our lives so much. I know it does mine. I hate it. Actually it kind of scares me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your pictures of you -- now. Thank you. You look great and your hubby does a very good photography job.

And most important of all --- Your face photographs well!

Ahem, mine does not, not, not, not, not. I look in a mirror and take a pic in it and the pic doesn't look like what I see in the mirror.

STOP LAUGHING! I know! I know! I'm not SEEING what's REALLY in the mirror. -grin- I know.

But still. Your face looks so happy and relaxed and all. When I just try to smile... I look WEIRD. -pout-

OK, I've made enough excuses. So I rest my case. -chuckle-

Fears, we all have some, don't we? And our individual fears, are because of our individual life experiences. We try to deal with them, as best we can.

Sandra--how very brave of you!! We have a few things in common. I will say this--years ago--after a major surgery--I had a few things to deal with--and I started singing scripture--and the one that helped me was 2 Timothy 1:7 "For THOU hast not given me a spirit of fear--but of POWER, LOVE and a sound mind." I would sing this to the top of my lungs--over and over. Notice that fear is called--a spirit. Do I still have fears-yes--but this helped me to drive in fast, merging traffic. :)

Great photos...tell hubby he did a good job and should be thankful you let him touch your camera. LOL

Some of my old Mom's fears are:
heights, fire, creepy crawly things,
and things that go bump in the night.
Hugs and happy Friday

Great pictures of you! Fears ~~ not so good. But maybe it helped to list them. Before I came to the US, about 50 years ago now, I had agoraphobia before most anyone knew what that was. Then I came here, had to fend for myself, and the fears went away. When I first came to California and encountered the Los Angeles freeway system, I was scared of merging too and even driving on them, but prayers helped me get over that. You should have seen me on the freeways reciting The Lord's Prayer out loud over and over.

From your current photo none of those fears listed would I imagine you to have! You have such a great smile, and a sense of humor I already know.

NONE of your fears are my fears. Isn't this funny. The only one maybe would be I don't want someone telling me what to do (usually I ignore them and do what I want). And not too fond of being held down, no one does, right?

This would be a good topic for people to share their fears.

Well, you look great! I love that blue! I have that frost thing going too. We all have our fears. I am totally with you on the water over the head thing. I HATE going through tunnels under water. Through a mountain doesn't bother me one bit. Weird.

Holy moose-poops Sandra...the picture looks great! I would never put a picture of me...I am not photogenic! One more thing...forget those fears!!!...:)JP

Sandra, that is a great picture of you. Bob did good with the camera, much better than Wade would do.
I don't know if I can really say I have any fears. There are a lot of things I'm not real fond of but I don't know if I'm actually afraid of them.

You look beautiful Sandra! I love the color of your hair! Mine is getting there.

One of my main fears is someone breaking into our house which they do either when we are home or not home. That is why I'd like a gun! lol I sometimes back up on the road to make sure I closed the garage door knowing that I did close it before I even back up to check! lol I'm a little OCD. Just a little! lol

First of all you are a beautiful woman!
You are brave woman for putting your picture on there. I don't have the other fears you have - but I would be terrified of putting my whole picture on the post. Love, sandie

Glad you avoided the thinning contraption to edit the photos. It might have altered that beautiful smile.

Are you sure that list is all of fears. I'm thinking a lot are indicate reasonable cautiousness. Or maybe I have more fears than I realized!

Have a fear-free weekend that keeps that smile in evidence!

I share a few of your fears too...I try to pray my way through uncomfortable situations (o: I've been tempted to use photoshop to remove a few pounds and add color to my growing gray fringe. You look great the way you are...thanks for your honesty...so refreshing!
