MayDay! Banana's Down

Yes, we now have NO Bananas.... Tropical Storm Debbie is stalled in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, about 165 miles west of us. It has been raining here for 36 hours and we have another 2 days to go. this is fine, we needed rain. BUT the banana tree has fallen down....

We are on the East side of the storm witch is the WATER side.... and we need it so don't fret. we re fine and only lost 14 bananas. below the black star is MADSNAPPER home

I'm so sorry your banana tree is down! But I'm glad you can see the bright side - that you are getting needed rain. :)

That's a lot of rain. Sorry about the bananas, but if that's all, it isn't bad. Stay safe, OK.

Oh my goodness!!! Did it scare the dogs? Is this your only banana tree? I expect that Bob will cut it up and grow many more from it in the buckets. Because you just HAVE to have the bananas, it is a signature of your blog. Stay safe, sis.

Thank you Sandra for posting it on your FB page. I have FB also, but I never use it. I really don't like it, but it reaches a lot of people so it is great for something like this. Thank you so much. I will see if I can figure out how to post it on mine as well.

Oh dear--poor bananas who have given their lives up for much needed rain. I hope "Bobby Appleseed" can come to the rescue.

Keep safe.

Best,
Bonnie

Well if Debbie wanted a banana she could have asked nicely. Glad to hear you are riding the storm out :)

Maybe a new banana tree will pop-up and replace it.
It has been stormy here on the east coast too. Not long ago we had tornado warnings which scares the bejeebers out of me.
Stay safe, Sandra.

No! Say it ain't so! I can't believe it fell over! I didn't know there was a tropical storm going on. It's so hot and humid and dry here that I didn't think it could possibly be raining in another part of the world! lol The banana trees must have shallow roots or is the wind blowing that hard? Glad it didn't land on your house!

We have no bananas today."

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Too bad about the tree, but make sure you stay safe.

Praying for your safe keeping. I am sorry to read of the tree, I know how much Bob loves his garden. Can the bananas be saved? let them ripen on their own?

Sandra, we've been bombarded with hard wind and rain all day today too. Trees down and the power was out for several hours this evening. Sorry about your poor baby bananas! Looks like we're in this one together! Stay safe!

I was looking at the map on the National Hurricane Center and wondering if you were getting any thing from Debbie. I'm glad to hear the only loss was the bananas.

I'm so sorry for the damage the storm is doing. I wish we could suck some of the rain up our way!

Sorry to hear about the loss of the banana tree! But of course in the larger scale of things it's a small loss... Glad you didn't suffer worse damage!
