Temari Ball -Red, White and Blue

I decided to do the first 4 days of July in Red, White and Blue...

Temari Balls is the art of Japanese thread balls, and is a thousand year old craft from Japan.

all you craft bloggers can go here to find out how to make one Temari Balls
NOTE: you can sell them on ebay for 15 to 40 bucks, I saw them there.

I found this Temari Ball Tree in our library

Fascinating Temari balls! I have never seen them before but they are pretty neat!! The colors are great. Love the combo of the tree, flags, and the balls! So fitting with the upcoming 4th of July. Great photos, Sandra.

A perfect post for the upcoming holiday. I have seen those type of balls before but did not know what they were called. I would be interested to know how they are made (not for eBay) so I'll check the link.

They're beautiful, it's the first time I see those and they're very decorative. Red, White and Blue are lovely colors. I love the photos! Have a great day!

OK now you've gone and done it. I'll most likely not get anything done today because I'll be reading about how to make those Temari balls and seeing if I have the right supplies.
I love that patriotic tree in the library. Very nice.

Those balls look very intricate. SOmeone must take a lot of time to make them. These suit the red, white and blue theme so well.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for such a beautiful patriotic post... I've been working on my Wed. post --but never thought of doing a patriotic one for all 4 days. That is neat.
Hugs,

A first for me. And the library closeups gave a good glimpse of their composition.

Well I am certainly sad for Ginny and her son losing so much. And for all the people right now - in the tornadoes and the fires. It is not a good time right now for sure. It is so hot here too.

But I am so worried about Ginny and why she has to go to the hospital so much - she is so wonderful and so sweet.
