92 and Still Army Strong

Frances is 92 years old and comes to our YMCA 5 days a week, he is full of vim, vigor and vitality and his humor keeps us all rolling on the floor with laughter. He is Good for the soul and in another life should have been a stand up comic.

I asked if I could bring my camera the next day and take a few photos, and he said Yes, but i want to stand by this and walked over to our Army Strong food collection soldier. I said be sure to wear a nice T-shirt, he has dozens that entertain us. Today he came in with of all things His ARMY shirt, he used to be in the army.

Yesterday he came from the dressing rooms and said to four of us standing there. Since I made it to 92 years old, I want a toilet seat with my name on it.
Bob said Will you sign it? Frances replied with "only if it is in the ladies restroom". by this time we were all howling with laughter as was he. there was more that I can't remember, like Bob said, well maybe just a urinal with a sign over it.
After we took a few shots in the lobby, I said will you hold a basket ball? he said I used to play for the YMCA, but I can't play any more. Lola said, can you just hold the ball and pose? and HE DID and He is still for sure Army Strong and a wonderful and funny person to be around. He is the King of One Line Jokes.

I'd love to know his story. That's why I love older people. They all have a most interesting story to tell about their lives.

Good for him! There is a ninety two year old that goes to the same gym as my hubby. The hubby says (at 65) "he inspires me to keep going!" Nice tribute, Sandra!

What a wonderful tribute to Frances. He reminds me of Dad -- Dad was still going strong at 92 as well.

You know what - I think that is great to be 92 and that active - did he give you any secrets? Did you know Billy Graham is going to be 94. Sandie
