Give Thanks To The Lord

Give thanks to the Lord for He is great.

My grateful list is long, but number one on the list is 28 years with my husband Bob

each year we are together we become more alike....Example: we are losing our minds together...

this morning I placed my bagel half in the oven, left the door open,  stepped to the bread cabinet, opened it to get half a slice of wheat bread to toast for the dogs, saw the 4 bacon bits left, thought give them that while I eat my bagel.
Decided while waiting for toaster oven to give them their pills, and take mine. I am doling out pills and washing dishes while waiting for the BEEP your bagel is ready....it occurs to me it has been a long time, I turn around and the door is still open....DUH

I tell bob this story, he says Listen to what I did this morning.

Bob  says :
I decided to put cheese on my egg sandwich. I lay the cheese on the counter and fried my egg, made the sandwich, sat down at the bar to eat, took a big bite and thought, umm cheese is good on eggs and realized I was looking across the kitchen at the cheese on the counter...
I AM THANKFUL TWO HALVES OF A MIND WILL MAKE A WHOLE... we hope.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow and if you are not in USA, you can still be thankful... Being Grateful is UNIVERSAL

LOVE LOVE LOVE your new header!!
You and Bob crack me up...but the good news is you do remember what your intention was...just didn't carry it out. Sometimes I try multi-tasking and do everything half. a##

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
I had to smile at your post.
Dave and I are always doing the same kind of things. We often say it takes both our brains to be one functioning person.
I have so many things to be thankful for too.
Thankful for my Husband, Home, family and a great church.
I could go on and on but I think I have to start "doing" the turkey for a late afternoon dinner today.
Blessings
Sue

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Bob. Well it's better not to get the microwave started than to set it on the wrong time and temperature and not notice until you smell the smoke... (Yes I've done that...)

That reminds me of a key fob I have, that reads, 'Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!' :-)
