Riiverwalk - Volley Ball Beach

Man made volley ball beach, with tons and tons of white sugar sand to wiggle the toes in or play volley ball.

ALERT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME  ENDS TOMORROW NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT, SET YOUR CLOCK BACK AND HOUR

Man made Dunes

That building in the back is an office park. this is all in down town area.

Man made seating and man made shade. one of the many "outdoor living rooms"

God's sunshine painting the man made shade.

the building in this photo is The Marriott at Downtown Bradenton

the amazing thing about this is the fact it is on the downtown waterfront on the banks of the river, surrounded by business parks, hospitals, doctors and lawyers, and 2 blocks from our county courthouse and city hall.

Good Morning! What a pretty and unique use of space in the downtown area. I loved volleyball when I was young. Thanks for sharing part of your world with us today. Enjoy the weekend.

Love the shade sails, especially the blue color.

The sand reminds me of snow. Amazing how much sand must have been moved to create the volleyball park and dunes!

Seems they've thought of everything. I like those sunshades they put up, a great idea when there's not much of other kind of protection from the sun. And I think it's terrific to have such a promenad close to the city center, allowing people to go for a walk or other kind of relaxation away from busy traffic etc

It looks like snow! :-)

And the photo of the sun through the "sun shades," is so lovely....

When will you tell us, if you have decided whether it was worth the money spent?

Sandra, all of your pictures are gorgeous, of course, but that second one is just amazing! I love it - and want to be there to see it in person. :-) I'll soon be wiggling my toes in the white...snow...:-(((

Beautiful, Sandra... Someone very creative helped with the designs for that place...

I'd love to walk through the sand barefooted... Don't care about playing volleyball.. A walk will be sufficient.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

What a beautiful area...if you keep showing all these pics mom says she is going to hop in the car for a visit 'cause she likes sand between her toes. I told her she could stick her toes in my litter box. MOL

Really pretty area, Sandra! I really like the outdoor living room! No more volleyball for me now, but I enjoyed it when I was younger. :) Really great photos!

Nothing like those sugar white sands. No other place compares.

Sandra, I love your photos here. I went down one day, but I didn't walk all the way down. Will go back. Did you see the water fountain? I love it. There's space for filling a bottle, a fountain for people and then one low down for pets.

A lot of thought certainly has gone into it, and there is something for everyone. I hope to do some morning walks there while the weather is cool, or at least not so hot.

I just hope that it is maintained well and that people don't destroy it.

David would have loved the skate park if it had been here when he was a boy. I wondered about the liability, but I see the city isn't liable. I noticed the sign recommended helmets and safety equipment, but I surely didn't see any boys with any on.

Daylight savings is on??? I hadn't realized that. Arizona doesn't change so I never know when it is and when it isn't. Unless I'm alert and usually I try not to be. :)

It's just so pretty there with all that white sand. We don't have anything like this in our downtown area.

Those shades are cool...love the color, too. The sand looks like snow!

I love those shades over the chairs, they look like sails. I would love to get my toes in that beautiful white sand. This is a really pretty place to be so near town.

I love how artsy the shades were constructed and how very unique they are!

Your town is really lovely Sandra. I love that white silky sand. I would love to wiggle my toes in it.
The shade and chairs look so inviting. I think I could sit there and watch the world go by.
Love that it is in the downtown area.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I am being lazy today and have enjoyed the visit to that unique downtown park. Do personnel from the downtown businesses ever take breaks in the park or is it too warm?

Betty Manousos said...

first off, great work on the light!
all of these are such remarkable shots of a lovely place.

i'd have enjoyed taking a nice walk in this.

Once again, heavenly. Love it! I'm amazed that it is not wall-to-wall with people. Another heavenly feature - is that the norm? Thanks for sharing.
