Riverwalk - dogs and dishes

Above is a parabolic dish, which is an acoustic device that echos sounds when you stand between them. We had fun singing, hollering and whistling.. also they are beautiful to look at.
.

Another parbolic dish, this one is a periscope type thingy that we could look out over the river and get a close up view of the train trestle bridge that was up. While we looked we could sing, holler and whistle and listen to our selves. the good thing is, no one hears it but the one inside the contraction.

Dogs are allowed, leashed only. The park provides water for humans and water fountains for paw babies. The good news is, the handle to the dog water is up at human hand level.

Wow! Never heard of a parabolic dish! So so so cool. Both kinds of them!!!!!!!!

So nice to provide water for dogs. And also wise, to insure they are on a leash, there. Not every person is dog friendly, even though it doesn't seem possible to dog lovers.

Perhaps they had a sad earlier experience.... Or being older, are not as secure on their feet, and could be "bolled over" by the sweetest/friendliest of dogs.

I'd say this park is super!!!!!!!!

Your city has the most progressive and unique ideas for parks and fun.
I would have paid money to see you singing and shouting between the parbolic dishes!! I bet the periscope parbolic makes for interesting sights.
Lucky pups w their own water fountain.

What fun! I would drive me, myself and I crazy playing with those dishes. :) The fountains are so clean! They have those at the dog parks here, but clean? Not so much. :(

Sandra - I love that park - I wish we had one here. Very nice and pretty. So what is the temperature there now? How cold do you get? sandie

now that looks like a lot of fun to me. Of course I can see Wade thinking it would be silly to stand there and sing and listen to yourself.
Of course any park that allows dogs is a winner in my book. How cool that they have their own drinking fountain

There is a water hole similar to the one in your photo in Henry Cowell State Park. But it doesn't have the tallest part. What does the tallest part do on the one in your photo?
