Some things just ARE

Hubby, better known to most of you as Bobby Appleseed, has a nursery hospital for sick plants. it shares with trash cans and  Bob's treasures Junk between two fences. While taking out the trash I noticed his fine, used every day 10 speed bicycle......Take a closer look? can you guess how long since it has been ridden?

Being the MadSnapper is tough work. I saw the vine growing in the rust and had to walk all the way back in the house to get the camera. I know this will shock you , but I don't always take the camera with me to the trash can.

Yet another shocking disclosure.... I played with the photo in Photoshop, above is just a little texture.
Below is Cropping Play time in PhotoShop

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness. unknown author
Bob did not steal this jewel, but he did find it on a neighbors trash pile about 15 years ago. He has ridden it half a dozen times....

In closing remember this: the early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!

do you know what this means? I don't know either....

taking Sunday OFF, see you Monday, bright and early....

Looks like it's been a while since he rode that bike. Great pictures and I like the last one with the texture.
Enjoy your day too!

Hey I 'd keep it like that. It would be a really interesting plant embedded into the bike.

Maybe the vine will bloom. Wow a photo opp.

Bob is great at giving you photo ops! Strap that camera around your neck when you take out the trash!!

Best,
Bonnie

I'm sure Bob will never ride that bike again, as he would have to uproot a plant to do so. Great shots!!!

He must be one of those who just can't bear to part with anything.

Sounds like he had good intentions when he found it and then... Hmmm, reminds me of New Year resolutions. :)

Oh those pesky vines! They'll catch you, every time. -giggggles-

How I love it that you saw this, as a photo op. And even walked back, to get your camera.

The sign of a TRUE MAD SNAPPER! May we all continue to thrive!!!

Love these photos. Enjoy the weekend.

I have no idea how long it has been there - but for awhile I think.

Maybe the second mouse gets the cheese because the first one gets killed in the mouse trap???

Have a good weekend off.

Love, sandie

Maybe he thinks he is going to fix it up someday? And don't forget the cat gets the mouse!

(Will get back to you soon.)

Pictures 2 and 4 are my favorites! I love this post! The bike is a perfectly lovely round trellis!!! The first mouse got caught in the trap, the second came in and got the cheese.

I was going to say that it was a well-used bike, even if just to grow vines on! Have a great Sunday!

The first mouse is in the trap, not able to get the cheese.
How fast does the vine grow?

That bike may not have been ridden many times nor for a long time but...it sure made some interesting and great pictures. Hugs

Yep, I would say it's been a while since he's ridden that. Enjoy your day off tomorrow

Maybe it is just a really fast growing vine.

I just love it when vines take over. So glad you went back in for your camera. Simple subjects are the best. Also love the prayer.

This post made me laugh out loud and then hubby wanted to see. :) you crack me up! what is Bob going to do with the bike? My son brought home a bike and painted it purple and silver to match the seat and there it sits on our back porch. he did ride it quite a bit. he wants to take it to a nice boy and give it to him. we will probably take it to children's home. :)

That bike is pretty old. Photoshop is amazing. My daughter uses it often but I have no idea how to.
The second mouse gets the cheese because the first mouse got killed in the trap.

If my bike was in the yard and not in the garage, it would have a vine growing around it, too! :-)

Let's see, the first mouse gets caught by the trap. Second mouse gets the cheese. Cheese was good so mouse sits there rubbing his tummy. Along comes cat and gets the mouse. Cat is all pleased with himself for getting the mouse and doesn't notice the dog in the yard. Dog barks, scares cat, cat climbs tree. Squirrel sits in tree eating nuts and laughing at the happening down below.

I like the vine in the wheel. Wouldn't an old bike look nice in a garden. Flowers and vines all around. Maybe some flowers planted in the basket. Can you tell I am getting tired of winter and wishing I could plant things again?

I think the first mouse got dedded by the mousetrap.....gulp! Deccy x

I am sad your back is out, but I am this post still has me smiling.

The second mouse gets the cheese because the first one got killed trying? The photoshop photo's are nice....PicMonkey wants me to pay now for the cool stuff. Only 4.99 a mo. I am thinking about it. The vine in the bike spokes is a dead give away to how long it has been since ridden LOL

As usual, I am smiling...haven't read the comments...but 'the second mouse gets the cheese' means that the first one got caught in the trap...or something along that line.
