Been there, Done THAT

You might be OLD if you know what this is......7 day pill box.... the reason I use these...

when I can't remember if  I took my morning pills... I look in the box and if they are still there, I know I did not take them.     (once I forgot to take my BP pill for 3 days, thus the Box)

8 an UPDATE
SLIDE SHOW IS BACK!!!!!
You might be old if....you put the toast in the oven and forget to push the on button or when you bake biscuits in the convection oven, you set the degrees and walk off and forget to push start.

you might be old if you put your coffee in the microwave to reheat and find it stone cold  inside the microwave hours later OR  you don't find it until the next morning when you can't find your favorite mug  and find it IN the microwave full of cold coffee

You might be old if you put your teabag in a cup of hot water to steep, come in to answer emails, and 2 hours later find the soggy and very dark and cold tea on the counter...

Also you might be old if you find yourself taking photos of you pill bottle and sharing them on line.

BEEN THERE DONE THAT! ALL OF THAT! WRITTEN FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

A cute post, Sandra! Just imagine if you had a pesky little kitten (Blue) who "helped" you put pills in the pill reminder box! Never a dull moment.

For our trip here, the box takes up too much room...I put all mine in small bags...labelled for each day, of course!?..:)JP

-chuckle- Guess we each have our own way, of making sure our meds are consumed, each day. I know I do.

But... Me.... Forget????

Heh, heh, heh....

Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt.

:) I guess I am old. I use those pill boxes all the time ad have for years. Oh well,at least I remember to take my pills, most of the time.I have been known to forget, but I refuse to admit that it has anything to do with my age. LOL

Hee hee you had me laughing out loud. I don't take medication so luckily I don't need a reminder but TOH does but he won't let me buy him one of those gadgets because he reckons they are only for old people.......DOH!!!!!

I don't use a pill box yet, but I have one. LOL I do take a bunch of vitamins everyday, but I just grab them out of the bottles because I write notes on the bottles, like if it should be taken with or without food.
I escorted Mama Mallard to the lake this morning. She had seven babies this year! :) So cute!!!

I too have recently invested in a pill box like this. I went from one pill a day to nine a day in a matter of a few weeks! Some I take twice a day, some I take, three times a day, and some I take one. Without the pill box I'd be lost!

Ah-ha...I could tell the voice of experience was speaking. My sign of getting old is coming to get on the computer to look up something but forgetting what by the time I set down!

Hahha. I keep telling MOM that she should get one of these pill box thingys. She has to take two different ones for her kidneys and she can never remember if she took the morning one. She knows she has forgotten to by the end of the month and the evening pills are almost gone and the morning pills out number the evening ones. hahhah Only thing is she would have to remember to fill the pill box.
Blessings,
Goose

I guess I'm YOUNG since I never ever forget anything.... GADS---that is a terrible April Fool's Joke... ha ha

Didn't know that you had to take so many pills. Hope most of them are just vitamins and not prescription drugs... We take vitamins --and George takes meds for his back pain... We don't have those fancy little containers --but my mother used to have one like that.

Hugs,
Betsy

Now all you have to do is to remember to look in that pill box!

This is what you wrote from your own experience and it is just as good as Jeff Foxworthy!!! I have done quite a few of them myself! I have one one of these pill boxes and EVERY compartment is filled...with all my pills FOR JUST ONE DAY! A pharmacist who is a good friend came over one day and looked at my big basket full of pill bottles and told me he seriously thought I needed to talk to my doctor about getting rid of some. So I did talk to my doctor last week...he went over each pill and said we cannot stop any. He also said that pharmacists start to get worried when a person takes more than 12 different drugs a day. Glad to see most of yours are vitamins!!! Gives me an idea for a post now.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

Yep, I've done most of these things. Nearly everyday I do something that makes me shake my head at myself. Do you talk to yourself? I can be found saying 'you're losing it, girl' at least once a day!

Hilarious!!! Mad Snapper
Mom might be old if she puts the clothes in the washing machine but forgets to turn it on...then the dryer goes of signaling a load is dry
she opens the washer to put the next load in only to find she hasn't washed them.

I love the way you make simple things so much fun....and let us all know we aren't the only ones that do these things...

hehehe...I am currently using one for my 16 year old son! It helps me track that he is remembering to take his antibiotic!

You also might be old if you put a pan of hot eggs in the sink, turn the cold water on to cool them off then walk away and get distracted by something then 10 minutes later realize the sink is overflowing. Yep did that one on Saturday....lol

What a cute post.
Fortunately the only pills I take are vitamins and supplements so if I forget a day no big deal. I have put a cup of coffee in the microwave and found it hours later. I have put sodas or bottled water in the freezer for a quick chill and forgot about it until it was frozen solid.

You're not alone!

What a funny post ^_^ but have to admit that it's easy to get distracted when in the midst of doing something else.

I'm old!!! I do three pill cases because that week comes around too quickly. Also because when I went to Europe 2 years ago I was going to be gone for three weeks. I actually like having three now. Then I have my phone set for 2pm daily to remind me to take one of my inhalers! My brother is complaining because he was put on a one small low dose BP medication. He has no clue!!!

you are not alone, that's for sure. i often find myself getting distracted often...then i forget about the pan with oil in it on the stove..hehe.

cute post and photos!
