Bucket Weeds, we LOVE them

Storm Update: Friday 6:38 AM. We are fine, just a little tree damage.

A few day ago, this vine above, about 4 feet long appeared with odd shaped, little pods that are tiny little purple flowers. I watched to see what the purple flower would do.
the weed is in  a banana plant in a bucket that Bob's friend Sam gave him,
woo Hoo a new species to document.

this sweet little puff appeared, much like a tiny dandelion, but only the size of a dime.

and then I noticed this long vine weed hanging out of.....

the weed is growing out of the moss rose, and I left it there to see what it will do... I LOVE WEEDS.

Let me know if anyone recognizes my new weeds.

I've got some of it growing under my Texas Sage bush, but don't know what it is.

I'm thankful you are safe.

The fluff looks a bit like a dandelion seed head doesn't it?
Glad you like weeds, so do I, some of them are real pretty but because they are collectively called weeds everyone hates them.
Lovely photographs Sandra.

Your photos make weeds look beautiful. After all weeds are only plants growing in the wrong place.

Sandra, glad to read that you are OK because as soon as the forecasters start taking hurricanes, concern about blogger friends in hurricane prone areas is on my mind. Weeds can provide the most interesting photos opps as you well know; sorry but don't know the ID of the mystery one.

Happy your OK. And my MOM likes weeds too. Some times she leaves a few just to see what they do and how they change over time. You girls are crazy. hehhehehe

Saw in the news and glad to hear you are fine.Mom can never take a good close up photo of that dandelion. It always out of focus and blurry. Her camera lens is not as good as your. It is interesting how they grow. It's beautiful in a way. Golden Thanks for sharing. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

So delicate and pretty! I'm always amazed when I see yet another creation that we often don't even notice - that God generously placed here on this earth with us.

I'm going to see if I can identify that plant with my 'North American Wildlife' book.

So glad you came through the storm very well.

Was thinking of you, and thinking, with little sleep the night before, bet you slept last night, after the torneado watch was over at 11PM!!!

So coooool, what you notice! With your interesting weeds. Again, cameras can make us be so much more involved with our surroundings. COOL!

Sit on hubby if you have to in order to keep him away from that fallen tree....

GOLLY gal, you sure make a weed look outstanding to where it would be welcomed in any yard. Perfect capture!

Thanking GOD you are all safe.

Hi Sandra, so glad to hear you only had minor tree damage- thankfully no damage here.
Love those rosey little flowers and fluff white balls- we have them here also.

The sun has played peek-a-boo between rain showers and rainbows this morning ~:)

I also love weeds! The definition of a weed is any flower you don't want growing in your yard. The definition of a flower is any flower it is hard to grow in your yard. I want to KNOW what this one is!

Glad you are all safe. I sure prayed for you all.

That puffy white thing does resemble a dandelion, maybe a distant cousin :) I love weeds too because they are about the only thing that I never have trouble growing

I love the weed, it's so pretty and your pictures are awesome.

Glad you're safe and little damage. Weeds just go on growing in their own small corner whatever else is happening all around them. That one is pretty.

I think the long vine is moneywort. If it turns out to be so, I'm willing to go 50-50 with you. lol

Cat claw on the first one? But I don't see thorny stem on your photo so maybe not. http://www.floridasnature.com/vines_%20gallery3.htm

You know I'm obsessive about finding things! lol

I'm no help on identifying, but I did love your captures of the mini-dandelion lookalike.

Can't give you any weed help... I just know that I hate them in my yard!!!!

I trimmed Azalea bushes and the big Jasmine bush today.. All of our rains are making everything grow like CRAZY....

Glad you didn't have much storm damage.

Betsy

No idea on what it is but it sure is pretty. Looks like the white is the seed pod. Maybe the flower when it blooms will give a clue.

I'm glad all in back to normal at your place.

I wonder who decided what was a weed and what is not.... Sometimes weeds are prettier

I like weeds too but nut not to many in one spot like the lawn. We have a weed growing in our flower pot of unknown origin. :)

Dee said...

I have no idea where the word nut came from LOL...I must have sneezed.
