Oreo's and Olivia

Most of  you know I have an addictive personality. But I also  have a scandalous secret.
I am addicted to Oreo's. Do I eat them now? No, because if I eat one, I will devour the whole bag.  Sunday morning, Bob yelled down the hall, Come in here, you have to see this...He said Sanjay Gupta is about to talk about Oreo Addiction... REALLY? so mine is REAL?

In the interest of time, two well known doctors said Oreo's are addictive and that the rats they tested, went to the lever for more
Oreo's as many times as they did for cocaine.  It is the sugar/fat content.

All I know is now I know my addiction is real. It has to be, I saw it on CNN... right?

Which brings me to another Scandalous addiction... Do you know this woman?

She is Olivia Pope, in the hit series Scandal. I can't help myself. Hubby hates it and refuses to watch it. I adore Olivia and can't wait each week to see what happens next.

When you get into trouble- life-ruining, headline-making trouble - there is only one person to call... Olivia Pope. Olivia is a professional Fixer who makes problems go away before anyone even knows they exist. BUT.. she has a LOT of troubles of her OWN... we can list Olivia and Oreo's right up there with Photo shop and Picmonkey and Pizap... NOW YOU KNOW MY SCANDALOUS SECRET

Do you have an addiction to share?

Pistachios. I am one of three people in the U.S. who don't like Oreos. It's a unique distinction I know. I don't know Olivia but have heard the show is excellent.

Best,
Bonnie

I did not know who Olivia Pope is...but can definitely see Oreos being addictive...I will have to tell that to Sarah. She loves them....and so does Lorelei.

Interesting about the Oreos. Just a few weeks ago I saw a program on Canadian TV about food companies working very hard to create products that consumers find hard to resist. They are doing it on purpose and we are falling for it.

I LOVE almost all sweets. I don't have a sweet tooth, but rather a mouthful of them. I think they even made my dentures into sweet teeth. I know all that sweets is not good for me,but I do love it.

WOW!!! Well, for one thing, what you have done with the CNN pictures is amazing! It looks like the rat and the cookies are right on your counter! As soon as I saw your blog, the title and picture, I knew it was going to be really good! I see it says "what you can do about it", did they say? Probably something horribly objectionable. SO funny, I went to bed thinking of snapping more T.V. for my blog, then here you are.THANKS, BOB!! Well, I have never liked the original Oreos. BUT I LOVE all the other kinds of Oreos. The ones with the vanilla outside and chocolate inside, the mint ones. And my favorite, the lemon ones. They even have birthday cake ones.I need to go on a diet, do you know how you have such willpower? I had tremendous willpower about 7 years ago and lost 50 pounds, but it was like a switch was flipped and it is just OFF forever now.

Well, there's always COCAINE...

I still can't get over your pictures of the rat and the Oreos. That would make a great book title. I have never watched or heard of Scandal, now I wish I would have. Is this the first year of it?

That would explain how I can open a bag of mini donuts and not stop eating until the whole bag is gone. It's horrible. I have many addictions some of which aren't really so bad for me and some that I've already given up.
I've never seen that show before but it sounds good

I was going to say sugar+fat before I got to that line... I've had addictions to similar kinds of cookies in the past, even if not Oreos. Also icecream, and chocolate. Just now I'm still doing OK without them... and still losing weight! Wouldn't dare swear to never getting hooked again, though. As for soap operas, I've had my share of getting caught up in some of them, especially when I've been unwell and too tired to do much else. Still addicted to a British one that's been running since the early 1970s (although there were a lot of years in between when I could not watch it as it was on while I was at work).

I don't watch Scandal but I hear it is excellent. Oreo's are so good. I did see a report about the fact that they are putting sugar in so many things today to get us addicted so it's best to stay away!

Oreos- well...yea..,.YUM! But if you want to talk about really fantastic chocolate...then you need to talk about reese cups...OM goodness. I could eat a whole bag of the minis all by myself. That's why I don't go down the candy aisle at all anymore.

I've never heard of Scandal, but I rarely watch tv anymore.

Fat and sugar ratio - what is the ratio - lol.

Love all your addictions.

My weakness is cookie dough ice cream but like you and the oreos I don't buy it.

I have heard of Scandal but haven't watched it yet. I got really hooked on The Dome but the season is over so I'll have to wait until next year.

Our grand daughter loves Oreo's too. She always offers them to me and it kept her cheerful when she wasn't feeling well last week.
