Squirrels! dang them...

Yesterday, I showed you the big beautiful tree, and playing in that same tree with the flowers was this little rascal... dang him! dang him! or maybe it is a dang her!

They eat the avocados, they eat the grapefruit and now because this years crop is not very good they are sitting up there nibbling on pine cones and dropping the sharp thorns on the pool deck.

Which means when I walk on the pool deck I scream OUCH! OHH! OWIE! because those thorns were not meant for bare feet.

I will pay the shipping if anyone wants a few of these guys and gals.

the only thing they are good for is photography sessions... and they can't even get that right.

Hey! you there, Lizzie Lizard, I need a photo OP!

JUST KIDDING..It was only 88...

We have plenty of squirrels, too!

Hard to believe some of our blog friends are so cold already.

Hope you have a good day with the squirrels and lizards!

cute looking fellows. But can be quite bothersome.

Well, 88 sounds way to high for me! ;) How come naughty squirrels can also be so cute?

Just don't ship them anywhere near Tennessee. We have entirely too many around here.

It's wonderful that you have wildlife in your backyard.

Fantastic job, once again.

Yep, the squirrels can be cute but they can be the biggest pain . They got in the top of our neighbors garage and made a terrible mess! My cat loves to watch them out the window though!

88 degrees? Gads---that's why I don't want to live in FL (or TX) again... I love cool/cold weather.. Supposed to get down to 42 here tonight.. Fire in the fireplace time... Don't send those squirrels here. We have more than enough for us already!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

well if you send that squirrel here it's going to need a heavier coat or else it will freeze to death.

You got some cute photos of those guys. As much as I love them I have enough already. The ones here tease my cats all the time.

88 and humid, no thanks. It has finally cooled down here and I'm loving it.

I guess I had missed this post. lol
You hate them and I love them! :) I guess because I've rescued so many and have raised a few of them that I understand them. I've had them laying on their backs for a tummy rub or hiding nuts in my hair, they have my heart. The moms work so hard taking care of their babies, having to move them to new nest, one by one and they don't get any help from the males. Have you ever watched them do it? Amazing and a lot of work! Kyle scooped up a young squirrel the other day that a neighbor had found. He thinks it had fallen from a tree and had broke a back leg. He was trying to drag himself across the road. Kyle took him to a wildlife rehab close by that we normally go to. They are always so glad to see a young person caring for animals. And really, all God's animals have my heart. :)
Cute photos!
by the way, cats are the only animal I can think of that kills and doesn't always eat it. I do prefer animals over people. :)

Thanks, but no thanks for the offer, Sandra. We have quite a few running around the yard now burying pecan nuts.

Pine cones eh? At your end they don't even have to gather up a stock of food for winter! No winter coat either.
