Red Sky in the morning..

7:30 AM found me in the middle of our street, waiting for what I knew was coming quickly.

Red Sky in the morning, Sailors take warning.

I waited just a few minutes and the blazing glory of the sun painted every thing red, just the color you see here, no playing with the color on these.

I checked the local radar Saturday AM and there it was, a big storm coming in and a lot of rain to come around 8 AM...

To beat that storm I left home early and finished Wal-Mart shopping at 7, while transferring my purchases into the Vue in the dark, I glanced to the West.

the sky was black with side ways smears of dull red, which promised a brilliant sunrise around 7:30.

I lightened the dark in the above photo to show the bus that was on the cross street. No idea why it was there on Saturday at 7:30 AM.

I had the radio on Bluegrass and this song played on the way home. I had never heard it. when I searched on YouTube there are many artist who sing it, but this is the one I heard on the radio. And it reminded me of my child hood.

If you want to skip the chatting in the beginning, drag it to 53, which is where the song starts. OR if you just hate bluegrass, pass on by.

Good Morning, Love the video; the song was not familiar to me.

Such beautiful red skies. It was very windy here Saturday.

PS....regarding your comment today, and your question about the slideshow?

In Blogger, the slideshow is automatic if you have the "lightbox" setting set at YES in your admin.

And here, as I clicked on your photos, blogger took me to YOUR slideshow. So you have it set on "yes" already.

If you wish to have that changed to a 'no'...go into your blogger admin and go to settings on the admin sidebar, click on posts/comments, and you'll find the option of lightbox.

I hope that is what you meant.
If you are asking about how I got them side by side on the post itself, that's a whole 'nother thing. :o)

Wonderful color to begin the day.

And did it rain? If so, that was the same storm that probably passed through here a couple of days ago. We only managed 3.5 inches but a small town not too far from us got 8.2 inches in a 12-hour period.

What gorgeous sky pictures. I'm so glad you made the effort to get them, they are absolutely magnificent.

This is my first morning using bloglovin' and so far it is going much faster and it is so simple, I don't know why I didn't check it out before.

What a glorious red in the sky. Where I live, red sky in the evening usually means good weather on the next day. But I have never encountered red sky in the morning.

That's early for shopping... I don't think any of our supermarkets here opens until 7 am (?) For me it's rare nowadays to be out before 8.

Wow! What a sky! My nephew Neil is a bluegrass musician currently living and working in the Destin, FL area. I like bluegrass but am not much on modern country. It is a great pleasure to hear Neil perform. Thanks for the reminder.

What beautiful skies. I love the silhouettes of those tall trees. Wonder what your neighbors thought about you standing in the middle of the street with your camera. If they are like my neighbors they are used to such sights by now.
