Point Pleasant -3

Our house is old (not this old), the doors hang slightly crooked, we use door stops to keep them against the wall, which means the knob has been in the same exact spot for 25 years..............so why do I whack my arm on it once a month?

My Memory and Me.... or lack there of.

I had to email my 3 friends that are listed in my contacts as 3 Sistas and say, what is the word I am looking for? what is the juice called that is left in greens or beans.... Catherine answered.

Pot Liquor.... what is UP or make that DOWN with my memory cells???

P.S. I asked Bob first.... he had no clue what I meant and did not know what Pot Liquor is.

Is this a word/words you recognize?

As for the door knob you run in to it for the same reason you do anything....because you can. It doesn't matter that you shouldn't just that you can. :)
I have never heard of pot liquor.

Door knobs exist to bruise either my hips or my arms..I refuse to say that I do not see them. HA! Never heard of pot liquor- that's a new one on me.

I like this type of house. There is a certain charm to it, even a nostalgia of past times.

Yes indeed I love pot liquor...especially from collards. OH MY mouth is watering.

The dresser in the guest room has been sitting in the exact place for 25 years. The dresser has very sharp pointed corners...I KNOW THIS... at least twice a week I walk too close. I permanent marks on my upper arm from the encounters too.

I'm always running into something. Just call me a klutz! I do know what pot liquor is, but I seldom ever call it anything but "juice".

I have heard the term...pot licker...as in what you would lick out of the bottom of the pot.

Beautiful houses again. Not showing mine!

have never heard of pot liquor before.

I would have thought you were saying pot licker if it had not been in writing. I look at big old houses now as being very expensive to heat and cool. I didn't used to. I would still take them over a single story any day.

Never hear of Pot Liquor.

I can only imagine and old guy 80- odd years with long hair and a beard, rough looking sort of the Willie nelson character . A
jug in his right hand with a wee handle. Aiming up to his mouth and saying after a slug.
Hey Partner the best pot Liquor in this
county.
Makes your ears flap. Whoooo by Cricket.

Yes, I know that word! And I almost laughed out loud when you said you asked Bob...I pictured how it is when I asked Roger some things...can just imagine the sort of dazed look that he gets sometimes.

Pot liquor is a new term to me. We must be about the same age -- I have problems with door knobs as well.

Going down the hall and turning the corner and bam!! The corner comes right out and hits me....
Yup, happens all the time..(:0)
Pot liquor must be a Southern term. I'm afraid I have never heard it either.
It must make for good sopping though.

I sure do like those houses and as I said before especially the ones with the nice large porches. Yes, I have heard about Pot Liquor but not since I was a child. Hugs

I run into the bathroom door knob constantly and the older I get....I get those purple blood thingies like my step father used to get or my grandfather. Is it an "old age' thing? LOL

Never ever heard of the name you mentioned for bean juice. What were you going to do with it????

And you call yourself a Southern gal? Pot liquor is the nectar of the gods especially when it comes from turnip greens or collards. Yummy!
