Good Fences Thursday

There are three kinds of men....The one that learns by reading, the few who learn by observing and the rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves. Will Rogers.

The Fence that makes good neighbors, needs a GATE to make good friends....unknown

UPDATE: I should have told you this fence surrounds a home that is a butterfly garden. She sells butterflies online. It is called Flutterby Gardens

That's a great quote by Will Rogers. It's one of the quotes used on my Nephew's Funeral flyer. He was only 19 - killed in an auto accident in 2011.

I enjoy a fence with flowers. Great shots!

Your fence shots are beautiful! You took the shots in just the right places. To me, the white picket fence with the flowers growing around it (in perfect shape, too) represents peace and hat everything is alright. For some reason, they always remind me f the fifties.

Beautiful photos! Whoever put up that fence and planted those flowers has a very artistic eye!

Although, overrun with flowering weeds, the fence has a clean look to it.

Lovely photos, picket fences are always so pretty and these are also beautifully composed.

p.s. forgot to answer your question from your comment. I didn't paint my header, it is a photo I took of a print on a wall in a visitors center in New Mexico.

Very pretty! Mama and I had a lot of plants that attracted butterflies at the home we shared.

Hi I love both the fence and the beautiful flowers. Pity there were on butterflies on them. Have a great weekend

Houses here are not divided by picket fences, but rather big walls. So i find it always refreshing and beautiful to see white picket fences in images, just like the ones here.

Hello there Madsnapper! I have been following and reading each post and I can always count on you to make me smile. I fell in love with your fence... I have pictured that fence in my head since I was about 8 years old. And I will probably dream about it, a station wagon and pearls tonight. Love it!

This so pretty I could almost cry! I really am longing for spring and summer. Right now it's snowing here in Minnesota! Yikes. March snow brings June flowers? !

If I had a white picket fence that is exactly how I would like it to look! Beautiful....

This is a fence I wish I had! I've loved this style ever since I first saw one. And I'd want the flowers to go with it, too. :)

Butterfly garden and sells butterflies has me curious. I know about keeping bees but butterflies?

Heidrun Khokhar, KleinsteMotte said...

Now that I got a spark of curiosity I recall growing them one year in our science class. It was a whole school project. We all went outside to set them free. Long ago though:( miss my teaching days and fun we had.
