ART or NOT?

My eye exam was fine...

Today's lesson is how to make ART from any or everything... I present to you

Toothbrush ART..

This is my new toothbrush. As I brushed my teeth I studied this and wondered who was the brave person that tested this to see if it works.

I mean doesn't it look like it would HURT? Someone had to test it.

I pondered
what type person test these? Are they well paid? How many things do they test a day? Is there a whole workforce of people out there testing all the things we buy?

Is there someone out there paid to flush new toilet to answer these questions

How much does it cost to flush a toilet once?
How much water does a constantly running toilet leak?
How many gallons of water does a toilet use per flush?
How many gallons of water does a toilet flush?

I can tell you I love it. and it doesn't hurt.
Go ahead! you can say it! "MadSnapper needs a LIFE"
I know you are thinking it...

Sandra: "Wanna hear a joke?"

Bob: "Nope! I'm already looking at one!"

MadSnapper and the Master Electrician

Dead leaf on White Bird of Paradise in our backyard

Our hall/foyer has two switch plates, the light can be turned off/on at the front door or down the hall by the bedroom door.

Last week I flipped the switch and ZZZTZT zzzzztttt and the bulb blew.. Bob comes and flips the light on and it works FINE... later I flip it on and zzzztzzz ztttt light flickers and flutters and sizzling noise.

As soon as the retired master AUTO MECHANIC comes home I point out the problem.

He says... "it's the switch by the front door, not the bulb. Just use the switch by the bedroom..."

Me being Who I AM.... said "I am not sleeping with a fire hazard."

I placed layers of duck tape over the entire switch plate, which has 3 switches, front porch, lamp in living room and the hall.....

while visions of house burning down around our heads....etc etc etc

I whined and fretted and fussed   until we went to Home Depot and bought the switch. On the way home I said "are you sure you can do this? Electricity is dangerous. You are NOT an electrician."

I can do it he says in a LOUD voice.........

I come in the house, the TV is on, the computer is on, he goes outside and flips the switch causing the TV to go down and have to REBOOT and the Computer to go down and have to reboot.

I will not repeat what I said... something about him being an auto mechanic not an electrician yada yada blah blah blah. I say "come outside and show me how to shut down the whole house just in case you start to dance and scream"

Ignoring me He gets the screw driver and pulls out the switch while I stand way back watching. He is CUTTING THE WIRES...

I say "should you do that?"

He says "Get the flashlight, I can't see..."

I get the flash light and when I turn it on... he jumps and waves his arm and yells OUCH...
I jumped and nearly dropped the light before my brain kicked in that the electric was OFF...

YES, he did put the new switch on and it does work... and we do have smoke alarms... JUST IN CASE...

Good Fence - Bray Park

The entrance to Bray Park is bounded by a stone and wood fence with a bright yellow metal gate that is locked at sundown and opened at 7 AM.
This park is where Hubby flies his radio control planes behind chain link fences.

Bray park is more than 120 acres with something for everyone, aquatic center, gym, many fields for football and soft ball, tennis courts, 3 acre fenced dog park for off leash, woods and trails, wild life. and 2 miles from our front door.

There are pavilions to reserve for parties, the day I was there these balloons were dancing on the gate post

Backyard Looking UP

I stood staring up at my favorite pine in our back yard jungle and decided to
show you what we see when looking up

Tuesday AM just before daylight, I was in the pool doing exercises and I heard a noise of something walking in the jungle growth....

I got out and flapped/popped the towel several times and a really really Big

went running up the pine  tree and out on that bottom left limb.
Raccoon photo from National Wildlife

Living in a jungle in the middle of the city, we still have wild life.

MadSnapper Ponderings

We live our life by routine and It occurred to me, if I create an online diary, I can just copy and paste each of my days.....and DONE

I read books and blogs to be transported to places I will never visit, do things I could never do, see things I have never seen.

Between books and the computer I can live a whole new life

When reading a book and I find a place that sounds interesting, I use Google earth to find it. When the book  mentions the FBI building in LA  or 1 Police Plaza, I pull up Google to see what it looks like. Or where it is.

When a book goes into descriptions of places and buildings or even describes something I have never seen, I look them up

Recently a book had the main character living in a Roadtrek.... yes... I looked it up.....it is a very small RV......

If the character in the book is listening to Opera or Jazz and they mention the song and who is singing, I come pull it up on YouTube. I found I love soprano sax and had never listened to it.

Unknown quote that made me smile

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.... I'm just saying.... let's remove all warning labels and let the problem work itself out

Do you look on line to find cities, places, persons, things, buildings or songs up that you read about?

Solar Halo

While sitting by the pool, Bob said Look Up and there it was, Solar Halo Thursday Noon/

Go to EarthSky if you want to read up on what these are and why they are there.

Or HuffingtonPost which has a lot  of info, below is a few lines from the Post

Also known as a 22 degree halo or a sun halo, the ring is caused by sunlight passing through ice crystals in cirrus clouds within the Earth's atmosphere,

I used my old Nikon and said, I am not supposed to shoot into the sun, bad for the camera, but I want an excuse for a new one... the ring was so large I could not back off far enough to get the entire ring, because of house and trees.

Dear Paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers......if you find one, what's your plan?   unknown

Heh heh heh   so ME
