Good Fence Thursday - 1900 Home

Bradenton Home built in 1900
The neighborhood I live in include homes from 1900 to 1969 and a very few
newer homes. Almost every home has a fence of one kind or another.
This is one of my most favorite of the homes.

THEY say love is more important than LOVE, but have you ever tried to pay your bills with a HUG?

I love these old time fences, which is to say we have an electric "invisible fence" to keep our large puppies out of the neighbors yard...:)

I like pretty fences but hate those ugly chain link monstrosities.

I agree it is a beautiful home and a purrfectly painted picket fence.

Charming and nice of you to pop by and introduce yourself the other day. I deal with bills not with a hug but a good shredding LOL. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly

What a pretty place! Someone has done a good job of taking care of it.Wonder if a house built today would last so long!

I am a fan of any house built prior to the 40's. Yours is a beauty and white fences will never ever be out of style.

Love the older, well-kept home, and the fence above the sunporch is nice. Those are special grids over the upper dormer windows! It would be great if you really had a picture of it in 1900!

I like both the house and the picket fence. I also like your black-and-white photo.

I love the home and the fencing to perfect! I would love to live there.

Those older homes like that have such character and the white picket fence just adds to its charm.

That's a lovely home and a beautiful fence. If I lived in a neighborhood, I would have a fence like that. Where I am though, I have to make due with barbed wired. Oh well!

I love this house! The cool upstairs windows, and the upstairs porch!! Also a pretty color as well, cool light blue.

what a great looking house. It's obviously been well taken care of. Love the fence around it too. In my neighborhood there are no fences

I love fences --but we are not allowed to have them here in our community... That makes it hard for a family with a dog... The dog has to be on a leash ---or chained in the yard.... Don't like that 'rule'---but it is nice not to have loose-running dogs all around the neighborhood. We don't even see cats around here very often... I do hate hearing the big dog down the fairway from us (on the other side) barking while being chained up outside all day long... SAD.

Hugs,
Betsy

ADDENDUM: There is a house not far from us which has two big dogs.. They sit out in their yard all of the time UNCHAINED.. BUT--they are behaved and seldom ever bark and NEVER chase anyone who walks or drives by... SO---if one's dog is 'trained' like that, they don't have to be tied up....

I love old homes like this one especially the ones with a cool fence. Those awnings add a nice touch but the screes/grills on the dormer windows are awesome.

A delightful part of the neighborhood.
