MadSnapper TV... OH My

since this post has been in my drafts since April 25th, I will now push publish and hope you don't die of boredom.. that is why I let it sit and sit.

Last year I am ashamed to say, I did a post on how much I liked this show, Scandal.

  I have removed the series from my DVR list....  it has now turned into a show about graphic sex, violence, murder and torture on the screen...

Browsing the GUIDE for DVR use, I found.....

..........a talking vampire dog......

..........Arnold Schwarzenegger PREGNANT, and........

a series called....are you ready for this?

are you sure you are ready? Can you handle this?

Californication.I kid you not...

Naked and Afraid.. new reality show on Discovery Channel. Naked, in the jungle and WHY the discovery channel, gives new meaning to the word.
I love a good action movie with things that go BOOM, and they do have violence in them, but I think the movies and TV series are just going to far now.

I found 5 movies we both very much enjoyed.
 no sex...no one was murdered, tortured, raped or used four letter words in every sentence and no one  beat anyone senseless and bloody ...

People Like Us.
Legendary
Serious Moonlight....
The Magic of Belle Isle
Mighty

And from MIGHTY we learned a lot of good lessons. And I learned a lot about writing...
I rarely remember things from movies but Kevin Dillon quote about writing is stuck forever in my head.
I have been seeing each sentence as a picture in my current book by
Lee Child
61 Hours (Jack Reacher)

if you are a reader, try seeing what you are reading using this knowledge.

Every word is part of a picture. Every

sentence is a picture. All you do, is let

your imagination connect them together.

 If you have an imagination that is.

It's spring and our Jungle is calling my name....

So there's these 2 muffins in an oven.

They're both sitting, just chilling and getting baked.

And one of them yells "Holy Smoke, it's hot in here!"

And the other muffin replies "Holy Moly, a talking muffin!"

from my archives

I kid you not, our cardinal sang this song for 17 straight hours one day... from 4 am until bedtime. the same notes. over and over and over...

Scream!

I found The Scream, by Edward Munch.... painted in 1893... in TheColordotcom
and I am really sure he would love my edit of his painting, I just KNOW he would.

What is a ghost favorite dish?     Ice Scream

Where did mommy ghost take her baby ghost?  Day'scare

I also found Bathing by Fernand Leger in the online color book.

Mom, does God use the bathroom?

No, what a funny question.

They why did dad say this morning. "Oh, God, are you still in there?"

The Otter and The Madsnapper

 This whole juvenile coloring THING started when I accidentally found TheColordotcom and I have no idea how I landed on this site.. I saw the word Animals.. and Paint by clicking and the week end was off to a good start.

This site is perfect for children and MadSnapper, the one who has flipped back to her childhood...

Me being WHO I AM... I was not satisfied and had to take it into PicMonkey

The devout cowboy lost his favorite Bible while he was mending fences out on the range. Three weeks later, a otter walked up to him carrying the Bible in its mouth. The cowboy couldn't believe his eyes. He took the precious book out of the otter's mouth, raised his eyes heavenward and exclaimed, "It's a miracle!" "Not really," said the otter. "Your name is written inside the cover."

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not have their motives questions.....unknown

It is ok to groan..... I know this is juvenile, but it IS what I did this week end and don't worry... there is MORE...

LOOK UP! Only God can make a tree....

Click on photo to see what I see when looking up in our back yard

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Joyce Kilmer

Random Pic and Thoughts

Random mix by MadSnapper for stirfry... yellow squash, red onions, green peppers with ground turkey, served over brown rice..

I return ink cartridges for recycle at Staples, and receive 2 dollars each. I had 8.00 rewards to spend. I wandered up and down every aisle and found the deal of the day. Wireless keyboard and mouse, regular 69.99 was on sale 50 % off, minus rewards and I paid 27.00 for it...

and I needed one because my other one quit a month ago and I went back to the wired mouse/keyboard. WOO HOO Wireless again

Dwarf Powder Puff - Something New

I have posted a Gazillion photos of this dwarf Powder puff bush. These are just a little different... we had a rain storm and this is what it did to them.

The big open flower as they should all look, and after the rain, below.. I love them any way at all. Big, drowned or even dead like the one above.

Each morning the sun comes up and a gorgeous sunrise is behind the bush, I could not get a decent photo, had to use the flash to get the bush and that took away the sunrise.

Many years ago Bob found a 10 inch volunteer plant growing in the fence and pulled it up, placed in a pot, then a bucket and next the ground.
He hacks it back several times a year or it would be 20 foot tall.
