My New BFF

I used a little fun with my web cam to introduce you to my new BFF - Best Friend Forever..10.99 at CVS and it saved my life during my three weeks of shoulder pains...

It is full of beans or rice or something.. who knows. but 90 seconds in the microwave and instant pain relief for all things strained, sprained or one of the ITIS brothers... My itis is Osteo Arthritis. It hits just about every joint I have. Did i mention the spur on the top of my instep?

This wraps my thumb, my fingers, my knees, lays flat on my fore arm, drapes across or over my shoulder and even around my throat while playing with web cam.

Just so you know it does not help with Hubby type PAINS... KIDDING BOB!

                                                        NOT!!!!

I am going to take a few more days off, maybe a week. Still having problems with shoulder/back/neck and blogging aggravates it... I will be sporadic in posting/commenting and maybe take the whole week off.

When I saw the photos, I first thought "public hanging". My second thought was the old toothache "remedy" in black and white movies. Whatever!! Hope it works for you.

Best,
Bonnie

You are such a fashionista, Sandra! LOL glad that rice-filled thingy is giving you some relief. I made a few of those, but in the shape of capes, for Christmas one year and gave them to the men. They are quite amazing! SO glad you found yours! If Bob finds out how much it helps, he might steal it for his own aches and pains.

Funny, I have one of those I use for migraines.

Morning MS the old gray mare has one of those too!! Today was 3 weeks since TOGM started with her PITT.
Today was the first day she completed her walk w/o any pain.
Moral to this story is TOGM says she believes pains take longer to heal once she became TOGM.
Lots of healing purrs

Love your sense of humor throughout this whole ordeal.
I'm glad you have found something to relieve the pain.
Take time off and heal. We will definitely be here, I'm here for the long haul.
Actually I have been weening myself off of Blogging and FaceBook.
I just spend too much time there, but I do have my favorites which I WILL NOT give up!!
Take care Friend...

I had something similar, but no longer since the move. I think I will go by one of these at CVS. So glad you posted this!
Do you have Indian in you? You have gorgeous skin and cheek bones!

Oh your a hoot.

I had similar with the rice inside the bag and the smell got to me when I heated it.

That was years ago.

I think it was for to sleep so you don't get neck stiffness. Now this day and age all kinds of support pillows.

The smell was horrid when heated.

If it helps you go for it. As we get older we lose our sense of smell they say.

That helps in one way.

At least you still have that spunky attitude! That contraption looks like something I might like to use. I'm thinking about it. I know Bob is being so good to help you out. Take as much time as you need. We want you back but healed. You don't want to aggravate it any more than it is right now. So glad it is getting better. That last picture is the best!!! Silly girl!!!

Excuse me, I had to get up off the floor after scrolling down to the last photo. LOL!

I'm glad the rice pack is helping. Take it easy and relax, that will help with the healing. We'll be here when you feel better.

I can't believe that Bob would cause any type of pain that needed relief. But I am glad you found your new BFF -- I may need to see if I can find one around here.

I just wrote down the info so I can look for one when I'm next at a CVS! Uncle Arthur loves to visit me, too. I will give this a try. Thanks! Now, funny lady, take good care of yourself so you can get back to snapping away!

Great to see you still have a sense of humour even when in pain. So sorry to hear that you are still sore but this gadget looks good. I have a rice sausage that I use when necessary but it doesn't have the fancy handles.

Might as well make fun of all the stuff that hits us in our advanced years! You really do a great job of it. And thanks for this info. I think I will get one for my hubby who also has shoulder pains. Take as much time as you need to get well. I know it is hard to stay away from all of your fabulous blogger friends, but still, you have to come first.

Glad that the heat treatment sling thing has helped ease the pain, Sandra.
Hope the time off from sitting at the computer and resting also helps.

Hey, Sandra. I wish I had known about this a few weeks ago because my husband's used-to-be hospital roommate has terrible problems with his shoulder. Maybe I can get in touch with him to tell him about this!

Sorry to read about your continued pain, Sandra, but you gave all of us lots of smiles showing off your BFF. I have heard of these rice remedies and glad yours is providing some relief. Pat has used the thermal heat packs which are used once and then disposed and they have also helped. Take care of yourself with as much rest as possible and we send our good wishes for feeling better soon.
