Once Upon A Library Book and Murphy

I love my Kindle E-Reader, and in 22 months have not read a Real Book. I decided to re-read all the Camel Club books, written by Baldacci and when I finished the first 4 Kindle library books, the 5th was only available as a BOOK. Checking Online I found it was available in Large Print which is all I can read.

Enter Murphy Law...and it is only 3 miles to the library.

Brilliant Sunshine to Stormy downpour in 12 blocks.Murphy struck on  My One Trip To The Library in 22 Months... I drove, parked ran through IT to get The Book I HAD to Have...

Book..792 pages, 3 inches thick, awkward and weighs 6 pounds. FREE
Kindle..15,000 pages, 3/4 inch thick, comfy to hold, 6 ounces.. $11.94

My fingers ache, my wrists hurt, and I read the book by propping it on a pillow that rested on my stomach.

I chose 7:30 AM Sunday to return the book, since everyone else was still sleeping...

In a light bulb moment, I thought Take The DSLR Camera...I removed the mono-pod, changed to proper lens, for ease of shooting pics in drive by mode...

AHA! two beautiful fences... Stop! Flip camera ON... WHAT? the screen flashes NO CARD!

I mutter and mumble all the way home. Look in the computer for the card. it is not there... I open the camera and The Card Is There... I remove card and re-insert card and Voila... Ready To Roll... Snap!

I said I would NEVER get a "reader". I did. I love it. I do still read books. I especially like the Kindle for travel and reading in bed. I've just discovered Tana French and love her mystery/police procedurals set in Ireland. Her's are long and perfect for the Kindle.

Best,
Bonnie

Time to tell Mr. Murphy to get on his bike but thanks for my early morning smile Sandra. As for the memory card, they don't call it a memory card for nothing - ha! Done that so many times. Have a great Sunday :)

Glad you figured it out.

I have trouble reading laying down so got some walmart readers and I can even read upside down if I want.

Oh you and Murphy get into some mischief. I prefer real books, print versions but also enjoy my ebook reader.

I don't have a Kindle because I have many bookshelves full of real books that I have never read because of blogging, NO time! Boy, you are just threatened by everything in the last few weeks! So that means that things HAVE to start looking up. I cannot tell you how many times I have started to take an awesome outside picture, and NO card!! This happens every week.

My daughter gave me a book to read and I hate it!!!!! I LOVE MY KINDLE!!!!! Don't want to hurt my daughter's feelings but I am struggling to read this book she gave me. It is heavy, the print is small and I am in love with my Kindle....that is all there is to it!!! So there!

Wow, Murphy has been spending a lot of time with you lately. Tell him it's time to move on and bug someone else (as long as it's not me. LOL)

I have the Kindle app on my tablet and love it. I wish all the books I get for review would come in e-versions! Some do but most are actual books.

Murphy seems to be making a nuisance of himself lately. Please don't send him my way.

I've said this before, I am not an avid reader and I like a book in my hand. I have however download a few books to my phone and am kind of excited to read them in that format. I told you last week that Murphy needed to leave!
