Does it really matter?

Toilet Tissue... Bob is hang it over I am hang it under

Bob is squeeze the middle of the toothpaste, I am roll it neatly from the end...

Is there a reason we do this? ...
Is there a right way or wrong way?

Is  rolling it under or over in our gene pool? What happens if there is only one bathroom? Would we need to side by side holders?

Does it really matter?
So Why does it bother me?
When I pick up his toothpaste to clean his bathroom, why do I want to roll it up neatly?
Another question is Why am I cleaning HIS bathroom?

and Why do I pick up the stems off the side table from the grapes he ate the night before?

Will we EVER KNOW?
Do you really care?

BOL I think we all have similar stories but don't get me started as my blood pressure will go up. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly

I say whoever puts the toilet paper on the holder does it his/her way and hands off my toothpaste!

Best,

It's nearly the same at our home, but onky in a single bathroom. And as for the TP direction, whoever puts on the new rool gets to choose the direction.

I prefer the toilet paper hanging over.. And I do roll the toothpaste from the bottom.. But, I guess it does not matter really? Have a great day!

MS you hit the nail on the head today.
LOLOLOL I had this issue when visiting my friends last week. She had both tp and pt under...I AM an over hanger. It nearly drove me nuts (well more nuts than I am). She is left handed so maybe it has something to do with how she hangs them. I'm so accustom to my way. I managed ok with the paper towels but the toilet paper was a PITT....literally. As for toothpaste I roll mine from the bottom too. WOW you are a mind reader this was a great post and now I don't feel so guilty for last week's craziness

I guess it doesn't really matter. You can put toilet paper in the OVER position, or you can do it WRONG.

Oh what a wonderful post! I like TP rolled from underneath. Even if I visit someone, I change it around,LOL! My toothpaste tube is plastic so stays neat. But I would roll it from the bottom too. Hope you're feeling better and pain-free. Jo

All this sounds quite familiar. I like over n roll from the bottom. It does matter to me : )

I'm a TP over girl, I can never find the under end. You clean all those things up because you do care!

A male blogging friend of mine posted about toilet rolls years ago. If memory serves me right, he did argue that it was a male/female thing and from his viewpoint, "over" would be correct. However, I'm female and I too think that "over" is the right way (and yes, it matters). Which means I do NOT agree it's a gene thing! :)

As for the toothpaste, nowadays I only buy the kind that is meant to stand on its head and keep its shape intact...

in thinking about things - no it doesn't really matter ... there are more important things to think on ...

but?? that being said ... i feel it is a big deal ... maybe that is why we are working on our 10 year anniversary this Nov. thanks to our separate bathrooms. no clue.

he would probably do whatever on the TP ... but for me i go over. ALWAYS!!

toothpaste ... very neat. it was how my parents taught me. the hubby is pretty messy ... he will always use it all up ... but it is kind of sad looking. ha. ha!!

We do it because the woman looks after the man. In return the man protects the woman. From spiders. And this is his price. Noooo, ALWAYS OVER, or else spiders will crawl onto it from the wall. Once I wiped my hoo haa with an earwig! True story...

I don't know what disease it is called, but I have the same one you do. It does matter - why I am not sure. Is it OCD?

There was a time I would have fought over the right way to hang the toilet paper but now I don't care how it's hanging or even if it's hanging. All I care about is that's it's withing arms length when I need it.
Now the toothpaste, if someone squeezes it in the middle they better be prepared to explain themselves and then fix it.

I've always like the TP rolling over, hubby is the same, and not under it just seems more natural?? lol I can't stand the toothpaste to be squeezed in the middle!!!!!! My husband and son both do it and it drives me crazy!! ha ha!

We both agree the toilet paper it is over the top. I have forgotten how he does his toothpaste because he has his own shelf. lol
All I care about regarding TP when I am not at home is.... that there is some. lol I love your post!

I always put the TP over the top. I don't know what BG would do if he actually ever put a roll on. haha! I call him Messy Marvin sometimes. He drives me nuts having to pick up after him and clean his bathroom for him. Why do I do that? Well, he works much harder than I do, so I do it and try not to complain too much. We'll see how it all goes down when he retires! lol!

I have no idea why these differences make us so testy...but they do! ;))

Over the toilet paper both agree. Neatly the toothpaste. I used to be the squeezer and make a heck of a mess. Now the neat way is much neater and less messy.

We are definitely a hang it over house! I won't have it any other way......

Always a good chuckle to be found here. We have to keep our TP in a draw so kitties won't pull it off the roller so that solves the over under issue and hubby uses a different bathromm then the one I use so no issue with the toothpaste either.

That is an interesting question. I am a roll over and squeezing from the end type, and don't really know why.
Fun post :-)

I just am not sure I could tackle such deep, philosophical questions like these! You are so lucky to have such intelligent followers who have shared excellent comments and have given us much 'food for thought'.
