Christmas Day Adventures

Christmas day, I watched the blazing fire and Christmas music that ran for 12 hours on Hallmark Movie Channel. And I just SNAPPED!
(note: I wanted a movie not a fire)

I pinned my Owl Santa pin that is 52 years old,  on my red blouse,  And I just SNAPPED! and drove to the hospital and

Gleefully   Fearfully rode the hospital elevator up 4 floors to visit my BFF Rich.
 And I just SNAPPED!
He is getting better each day but not out of the woods yet.

I don't do elevators if at all possible, so now Rich knows how much I love him.

And while talking to Rich I looked out his door and realized the florescent  lights down the hall had paintings as covers.
 And I just SNAPPED!

Came home to cook Christmas dinner and for the first time in my life made green bean casserole...  And I just SNAPPED!

Bob said what is that? I said Green bean Casserole... He said I don't know if I will like that I have never heard of it. It was no shock to me I had never cooked it because I rarely cook anything... the Shock was he had never even seen it, heard of it or tasted it.  He did like it but not LOVE it.. neither did I and I blame this on Blake Sheldon on the Voice last week because he said it was his favorite thing his mother serves at Christmas..

I know about green bean casserole, but I have never made it myself. Usually I just boil and eat the green beans as they are.

If you're going to SNAP on Christmas day, this is the way to do it :) I spent the day on the couch watching movies and napping.
That cover on the fluorescent light is awesome. I thought you caught a sunrise through the window. I've never seen anything like that.
My daughter is a huge fan of green bean casserole. She has to have it every year for Thanksgiving.

I hope Rich is feeling even better today. What a nice thing to do - ride an elevator to the 4th floor in spite of your fear. I've never heard of green bean casserole before either.

Sounds and looks like an interesting Christmas day. Mine was very relaxed.

I like green bean casserole once...about 1975, and now don't even want to look at it. There are much more interesting ways to cook green beans now, like wrapped in bacon and soaked in Teriyaki and brown sugar sauce. LOL! I love your Owl santa pin. Have a good weekend and I am glad that Rich is getting better.

I never tried that bean dish either...probably never will...it looks like regurgitated food. Okay....so, I'd snap in a whole different meaning. lol

That light cover is cool.

You are such a sweetheart visiting Rich on Christmas Day. Love the 'snaps' as you went along. That owl pin is so cute. As for Green Bean Casserole, it is Gregg's all-time favorite that his mother used to make him. I had all the fixings but ran out of time. I also forgot to put some mushrooms out but we had more than enough food on the table. I told him I would make his casserole just for him when our company has left. We are eating left-overs today :) I won't be cooking.

MOL MOL the thought of Mad Snapper Snapping and cooking all in the same day...made us snap. MOL MOL

Some things just don't need to be made into a casserole. I love all the ingredients separately.

Hugs to Rich and Baby as they recuperate

Love your owl pin. I love how things come back around. My daughter loves owls and gets a lot of Christmas gifts each year that have something with an owl on them! So glad the Rich is out of the woods. You cooked dinner....that gets a Hallelujah!!! We love that green bean casserole along with Blake Shelton :)

I'd rather just eat those crispy onions on top of the green bean casserole. ;)

We love green beans but cannot picture them in a casserole. we don't eat casseroles at all any more.
