Mango Tree

Bob planted a mango seed in a bucket about 3 years ago, the tree is about 4 feet tall and needs to be planted but we have no where to plant it.

Bob Story:  Bob wears sweat shorts around the house, the kind with a string that tightens them... He slammed the flatware drawer and caught the string in it, walked away while pulling the string and his shorts dropped to his hips.. we laughed ourselves silly.

My grandmother had two giant Mango Trees in her yard when I was a child.

and tangerine tree, kumquat tree, cherries on  her bushes and giant lemon tree. Plus her sister's house was in an orange grove.

I love fruit. Do you? have you eaten any of these fruits?

post was created on November 10 and sat here until today.

Do you leave post in you drafts for weeks or months?

I have a couple of posts in my draft right now waiting to be posted. The time doesn't seem "right" yet.

I've never eaten a kumquat, though I have eaten kumquat jelly. Does that count?

I've had tangerines, cherries and lemons before but never a mango or a kumquat.
My posts all get scheduled. I've never left them in drafts.

I'm trying to read the rest of your post with tear- filled eyes, due to laughing so hard over the Bob story. That is hilarious!! Lucky you to have a mango tree, even in a bucket. Yes, I've eaten all of those fruits and yes, I sometimes leave posts in draft for months! Lol I can't get rid of that mental image of you and Bob. Lolol

We have mango trees in our garden here in Tz and a lemon tree. I have never eaten a tangerine; kumquat when I was little. In South Africa, we live in a cherry area and we can buy fresh cherries at reasonable prices in November. Have a great day. Jo

I've never eaten a kumquat. And I might have one for this Friday in there - and I add to it all week - don't usually do them in advance.

I like mangoes, and they are not cheap. So you could have your own supply. Guess you will have to keep it in the bucket and keep getting bigger buckets as it grows. The shorts story is hilarious!! I read it to Phil. I used to save in drafts many years ago, it is nice to do several when you have extra time. But it would mess up on me and not post when it should. Made me mad, so I quit using it. Maybe blogger fixed it by now.

Usually, if I write a draft I never finish it. I like berries mostly. I have blueberries and raspberries growing in the garden. Good luck with the mango.

Usually I just leave my posts in draft for a few days. If I find one that I forgot about I usually delete it. Yes I have eaten the fruits you mentioned. I only discovered Mango's a little over a year ago!

Oh funny with Bob. My hubby and I wear the string ties also but in the joggers around the house. We call them the leisure.

Many a time In morning half asleep. I put the drawstrings backwards and the pockets forward.

So Bob has a couple of hicks from Canad knowing how it feels to be a nutter. We too laugh at each other.

May your day have been good Sandra..

Cold here.

Tomorrow our best friends are coming over for brunch as it is too cold to go to town all of us for my Birthday.

They have a truck so not any problem to travel down the lane to us Sandy said. He may hit black ice. Our power went off so just got on computer now.

That is too funny about Bob!

I've never had kumquat. I love fruit but have to limit acidic fruits. Growing up in MI, John loves cherries.

The fruits you mention are more exotic.I mostly enjoy,or have readily available, the apples oranges, grapes and strawberries.I can just imagine Bob standing there with his shorts around his knees.Funny!

The Bob story had me giggling and vividly imagining the scene. love the curly dead leaves. mango trees grow huge its a shame you don't have room for it. I believe they take quite a few years to bear fruit..is that right? I love mangos i bought one today it cost $3:50 and yet more mangos grow in Queensland than any other state...go figure. Bill is allergic to mangos poor thing.....It is a funny story how that happened.

Had relatives in San Diego when I was a child. I thought their citrus trees were fantastic.
