Ghost of Anniversary's Past..

Friday morning Bob and I stood warming ourselves at the sliding glass door. I realized his profile was in the reflection... I asked him to hold still, don't move and this is what I got. I love this ghost photo and love him. Today is our 30th Anniversary.  When he saw this photo, he said OLD man in the sea, I said no, Old man in the Trees... He is, was and always will be a Salty Old Seadog..

Our story of how we met is in a prior post HERE

Thursday I said to him, let's go to Golden Corral for lunch, We have not been in ages. I thought for a minute and said, "No, we can do it on Saturday".

He said "why not on Sunday, since it is the 8th.''

I said ''what has that got do do with it?''     He said The 8 th??

I said ''OOOOHHHH"  I totally forgot it was our anniversary.  4 years ago we both forgot it until late in the day.

As part of the celebration weekend, we had breakfast on Saturday at Golden Corral and will eat out again today, the ''8''...

In the collage you see our two plates and the view from our table. They open at 7:30 and because we get up at 5 we have to wait hours and pop in the door as they open it, first in the door. we have to wait 5 minutes for them to put out the fresh baked biscuits which is why we go there, biscuits and sausage gravy.

Our anniversary is 4-22. A couple years ago Wade gave me a card on the 22nd. It was March 22nd though...lol

Happy, happy anniversary!! Wow, that place is empty. All the better for both of you. I want details of your next meal out. Or else you can post it. LOVE Bob's ghost picture!! Everything single thing on him fades away except his face. It is strong and handsome. You nailed it with this one. His face looks smooth and I see NO old man wrinkles!

Dear Sandra..
the photo you snapped of your husband is just wonderful. We are running neck and neck with the great grandchildren. My husband died before any of our greats were born. We were married for 43 years. Would have been married 61 years had he lived. Congratulations on your anniversary!! :) That's wonderful. I smiled when I read your story. I remember when we celebrated our 30th..the children sent us off on a little honeymoon...and then we discovered it wasn't our 30th. It was our 31st. :) We were both guilty of that one. Would you do it all again? I would!!
