YMCA and ME

A shot in the knee for pain caused by arthritis spur

Counted exercises ordered by a Therapist

8 weeks, FIVE days a week

20 minutes in the pool plus 10 minutes at home

all of the above has changed my life

The exercise that has made the most difference is walking 4 times across the pool.

100 yards a day...
walking the equivalent of  a football field filled with water.

Chest Deep.....walking, lifting my feet and pushing the water...
100 yards a day...

I know longer drag my left leg and I have not stumped my toe on ANYTHING or even stumped it on NOTHING. as in the middle of a floor or on the lip to the
shower. I no longer trip on the throw rugs, my knee is better, my hips are better.

So happy for you Sandra.

May it keep that way indefinitely.

I wish we had a pool near us.

We have the lake but most years it has been so bad. They had to put sign on not to go in.

Fantastic! I am glad you found something that eased the problem.

When did the doctor order all this stuff, just this week? Did this all just happen? I used to walk through a pool, it is really hard exercise and people don't realize it. You are pushing through all that water pressure. SO glad you are better. Those cortisone knee shots are wonderful! Ellen's Design show mad me so mad! Those judges are way too picky! The person they kicked off made my favorite couch!!! Missed you, even though it was just a few days.

This makes me wish I had a pool...not that I have arthritis...just think even playing in water is a work out.

Now you have me thinking that maybe this would be a good thing to try..in the future. Thankfully, I do not have leg or back pains (right now) and thankfully there is a pool nearby to use. Great to hear you are doing so well, Sandra!
Also, hope the Red Admiral continues to "kiss" you and hope that Bob doesn't get envious.

That's awesome. If I had a pool I think I would be doing that too and my knee would be so much better.
Love the little cartoon bouncing balls.
